Let me tell you my experience at this place. First it is not the first time reserved from John but this hotel it is not clean and very smelly 🤥 it was so strong and I even ask the front lady if there were clean and she said yes 🙄but what could I do late at night and go where we pay $479 next time I will check and read very carefully all the reviews. Thanks god there was a cvs and went to buy cleaning supply’s and I had to clean toilet and the hold room so mad 😡 😡😡 I don’t recommend it at all 😡😡😡

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I’m definitely going to be staying there in a few months when I come back. The management team there is top notch. I definitely recommend this place.

Floors looked filthy and it was dirty behind the refrigerator and microwave and the towels felt cheap and worn.

This room is absolutely DISGUSTING. Not only does it smell of pure mildew, it’s completely trashed. The carpets look like they’ve never been vacuumed/washed.. walls are stained and covered in splatters of unknown substances, the electrical units are damaged which makes me worried of my safety.. anything metal has rust, and the furniture is falling apart. This is NOT worth $150 a night!

What I don’t like about this property is that they were some outlets that they were not working. From the whole room I will say that only three were working properly. Besides that everything was good.

Being a seasoned traveler, I’m always looking for a good hotel to stay at that won’t break the bank. Howard Johnson’s by Wyndham in the midway district of San Diego is just such property. As soon as you arrive you’re greeted by a professional and knowledgeable front desk staff that makes checking in easy. There’s plenty of offstreet parking if you decide to rent a vehicle. Upon getting into the room spacious and has everything you need for your stay; specifically, big screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, Walgreens, all the toiletries that One would need. The bed was very comfortable and it had a heater and air conditioner depending on the season. There is a pool, ice, machine and laundry, facility on grounds, as well as a small business center. Did I mention that they have a continental breakfast daily, including a waffle station that will get you on your way in good form. So if you’re looking for a great hotel, that’s centrally located to major attractions within the San Diego area look no further than Howard Johnsons By Wyndham!
