Stayed for 4 days and overall I am very satisfied.
First of all, the location is very close to the San Diego Convention and Exhibition Center next to it. You can also go directly to the Convention and Exhibition Center from the first floor, which takes 7 minutes;
The second is the environment, with sea view, there are two swimming pools on the first floor; from the first floor, it is about two kilometers of citywalk, and you can walk along the seaside to the Victory Kiss sign check-in place
The hotel's sanitation/facilities and services are quite good, and there is a Chinese-speaking front desk reception.
The only downside: the price is expensive

I have never had a bad time at the Pendry Hotel. The San Diego location is amazing… Plenty of restaurants, great location, and the staff is incredible. From the time we arrive to the time we left we were treated with some of the best service we’ve ever had. Thank you Bob, John the bellman, J Ray and Rachel @ the pool house. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. Thank you pendry San Diego and the entire staff.

We stayed 6 nights at Pendry San Diego, and it's wonderful in nearly every way - including convenient location, exceptional staff, spotless rooms, beautiful restaurants, scenic pool and lovely spa. Their people go the extra mile to be accommodating and friendly, and the hotel is deserving of the accolades, BUT WE WON'T RETURN. The reason: EVERY SUNDAY from 2-8pm Pendry management has chosen to create a loud party atmosphere in the pool area and open it to those not staying at the hotel, resulting in a packed and shocking frat/club/raunchy environment. Maybe not a big deal if you're in your 20's or not using the pool. In our case this rendered it unusable for our precious pool day with gathering family members. In fairness Pendry management responded to our complaint by providing us with a quiet area upon request and eliminated our amenity fee for the night. This was our first experience at a Pendry, and from a branding standpoint the party atmosphere seems at complete odds with the luxury branding presented by Pendry - but maybe that's intentional for Pendry to appeal to the younger crowd. For our next visit to San Diego we'll find a hotel that caters to luxury rather than twerking.

It has been a while since I've experienced the level of excellency that I experienced at my recent stay at the Pendry. The hotel is in an excellent location, especially if you're a Padres fan, and it's beautiful, but what really set it apart was the absolute competency of everyone around. From the maid service to the valet to the bellman to the bartenders; everyone was just so excellent at their job and seemed happy to work there. Since covid ended, I haven't experienced what I consider absolute top notch service as I did at my recent stay at the Pendry. I was there for my 6 year olds birthday, and everyone went above and beyond to make her feel special. My family and I had such a nice stay at this hotel and it's in an awesome location. If you're on the fence about where to stay in San Diego, and you read this review, pick the Pendry and let me be your tie-breaker.

The property is just ok. Not the luxury, service and amenities you would expect from a 5 star property. They charge a $40+ resort fee that's a fluff charge because you get very little for it. You need to pay an additional day pass fee to use the spa. Nightly turndown down service is part of resort fee. What 5 star property doesn't do turndown normally.

Great location and great staff! I highly recommend this property as the rooms were stylish and up-to-date. Maria at the bar area was exception... and we will return in the future. It was a bit tricky to get to the Valet due to the position of the hotel but all we had to do was go around the block... keep in mind it's in a "lively" part of Downtown... with lots of tourists!
