We had a great time we felt safe the entire time we te self with our pets and staff was nice nice room for a short term stay and good value for the price , the only thing we didn’t like is that there was no breakfast offered at the property , the pillows were kind of hard for my taste and be ready to pay the $150 security deposit and the $15 per night per car fee ..

I stayed here for just one night on Monday, August 22. This is my first stay at this Homewood Suites location. I checked in near the check-in time; however, was given a key that didn't work twice. That means two extra trips to the front desk. I was in a room on the 5th floor across from the elevator bank. I did not experience any hallway or hotel noise. It was pretty quiet. The view from the sole window was of the hills behind the hotel and of the neighboring timeshare resort. There is parking both on the surface lot and some under the hotel with easy elevator access. Parking is currently $22.00 per night. The gym was well equipped for a hotel this size, and I was able to use it on Monday afternoon. The room itself was nice overall. It looked clean to me, it truly did; however, there are just some glaringly obvious things that make you scratch your head and say ”but how clean is it?”. I walk into the bathroom and there is a trump sticker center of the bathroom door frame. What? How does a housekeeper not notice this huge sticker while leaving the bathroom? A maintenance person randomly entered my room at about 4pm on Monday afternoon, after I checked in with no maintenance call made and no knock on the door. Then on Tuesday morning, I did receive a late check-out. I came back to grab my bags and change and noted my key card was already deactivated. Guess what? I had to go to the front desk another THREE times to get a card that worked, each time they assured me this one would work, and it didn't until the fourth time. Do you see a pattern here? If this happened this many times to me during a one night stay, how many guests does this happen to in one day? So, overall, it was a nice property in a nice location; however, the key card issue, the sticker and the maintenance person. Come on? These are things that are weird, odd and just shouldn't happen. Oh, I almost forgot to add that I did take advantage of the breakfast, and found it to be very satisfying and sufficient.

I'm the kinda person that is huge on communication and fairness. I think her name is Brianna at the front desk....”wow” extremely nice and accommodating to us. And to be honest the entire front desk receptionists are very good at what they do. I will return.

Suitable for parents, not far from the harbor and aircraft carrier, walked for the past 15 minutes, also passed the nautical museum, next to the park is the park, then the shopping center. Not far from the old city, the sea world and the zoo. Compared with the five-star hotel on the side of the harbor, the price is very high. The reservation is for the suite. The room is large, and there is a kitchen. There are pots and pans. You can buy your own ingredients for a long time. You can definitely do it yourself. The bathroom is also very big, just showering with the bathtub, the bathtub has no anti-slip mat, the daughter enters the slippery, and the lower jaw knocks on the bathtub and the bleeding is red and swollen. The room has breakfast, although there is no domestic rich, but you can eat. There is also happy hour in the evening, 17-19 points, free drinks and snacks, very good.

Very nice renovated room. Just had an issue with parking in hotel parking lot with an oversized vehicle. Luckily there was an ACE parking lot across the street from the hotel that was actually less expensive.

As a digital nomad I frequently travel across California and San Diego is one of my favorite cities. I came across stay classy hostel from a recommendation from a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Stay classy is more like a hotel than a basic hostel. Brandon and Derek the owners are very quick to help and accommodate you at any given moment. I like the fact that they are striving to be a “smart hostel” with digital key locks and upgrades TVs and lighting. They even put fans in the rooms per request of one of the guests. I wish them nothing but luck and think they have a successful franchise on the horizon. I will miss staying at this place as my journey in San Diego has possibly come to a close but I highly recommend it! 5 stars! Ryan

One of the most unsafe properties I have ever stayed in, surrounded by addicts and drunkards and other criminals, it was absolutely terrible. The staff were rude and for the most part we’re unwilling to even acknowledge those people staying at the property. The one night I had twisted my ankle and had asked the night manager for Ice if he could open the room where are the ice machine was locked, and he said absolutely under no condition. He said walk over to the mini mart and buy a bag of ice, I said please I need ice for my ankle, he told me to go away and stop begging because it did not suit me. I was infuriated and Insulted buy this impudent little weasel of a man. I am sure he has cost you more money than whatever wage you may have ever paid him. As a business owner I understand the losses an employee like this can cost a company, I am sure your business plan is not to drive away your clientele by insulting them. I won’t ever stay there again.

Excellent
AAnonymous UserThis is an old hotel with rich cultural background, all the staff are very friendly, the room service is timely and in place, the bedding and mattress are very comfortable, the breakfast is not to mention, the weekend menu will be replaced with the brunch menu. All the above advantages allow me to tolerate the only disadvantage of zero view from the window. Parking is valet, there is a cvs at the door, and there is a taco that ranks first in the United States within five minutes' walk, which is pretty good, but there is homeless on the roadside
GGuest UserThis hotel has a good location. It's two miles from SAN, the cruise terminal, and at the entrance of Little Italy. Harborview is across the street which has restaurants and a park. La Jolla is about 12 miles. Surf Sports park in Del Mar is a 30 minute drive. This hotel is not the newest but in fair condition. The lobby is welcoming. There is a complimentary breakfast with waffles, bagels, eggs, breakfast potatoes, fruit, juice, oatmeal, cereal, and some type of meat (sausage, bacon, etc.) There are several unhoused sleeping and walking around the streets bordering the hotel. The park across the street offers restrooms that are used by the unhoused. Many steps are taken to ensure security - doors locked from 8pm-10am, garage/garage elevators/lobby bathrooms only accessible with room key, security outside after dusk. Be warned. There is a train behind the hotel which runs into the deep night. The west side of the hotel faces Pacific Highway and cars/ambulances/fire trucks run all night long. If you are a light sleeper, pick a room on the north side of the hotel or bring your ear plugs. Also, parking was $40 a night!
LLINI stayed for two nights and I was out every day. I did n’t enjoy the resort service, but I still paid the resort fee. When I drove by car, I parked in a few free parking spaces at the door. A lot. The outdoor pool is beautiful, but closed early
GGuest UserA nice option in San Diego is close to the bay and close to Little Italy to have dinner (You must try Sambugers). There is a nice pool. The rooms are great, with a balcony and if you are lucky, you’ll have some views of the bay. The main issue is the “breakfast”. I’ll skip commenting, you can read some other reviews. I didn’t have a problem because they inform you before the reservation. There is a Starbucks in front of it. The check-in was not informative or clear at all. They pretend to charge an amount without any explanation (room + parking and incidentals) We have some problems with the room and the night manager didn’t hesitate to arrange a change (I don’t remember the name, but she understood the problem and work to find a solution). Thanks to her we had a great experience in San Diego, and we are writing a 5-star review
QQIYUNThe hardware conditions are not good. The parking fee is 19 knives a night. The roadside should be able to park, but it is a bit late. I don't want to go to the road to see the sign and look for the parking space. Hotel service attitude is OK, but the state of health is not flattering, the bathroom is not smooth, the bath is very disgusting. Breakfast tableware is not too clean, I really don't want to tip. There are few old town hotels, but it seems that there is no choice, maybe other cost-effective.
SStephanieWas very pleased with my stay here. Only complaint is the people above me stomping around and the people next to me slamming their door late at night and early in the morning. I would definitely stay at this place again. It was clean and very roomy. Walking distance from some good restaurants. Good sized tv with fast internet.
EEnglishTeacher朱丽叶Location was excellent for concert at Petco Park, took Uber and obviously was longer due to concert influx realized take a lime lite would have been faster. Walking expect 25-30 min and going up hill.
Service was good at check -in , first night found roaches 🪳 under and around fridge area! Went to lobby for possible accommodations , encountered male fair skin and colored eyes, said they were from the weather (🙄) didn’t seem surprised to hear there were roaches in our room, asked if we can switch rooms- he said they were fully booked and didn’t have anything available which I didn’t even see him check. At this point couldn’t find room to check out for the weekend and left as is. Told cleaning lady that evening and she shared a roach spray to spray in infected area. We didn’t not feel comfortable in this environment and left our snacks and food in bags and placed luggage on our beds and desk to avoid roaches from getting in. Additionally had requested towels and when asked for 4 same lobbyist said 4 was pushing it and only handing two towels even though I had booked two double Queen rooms for 8 people!!
Second room has stains on bed sheets and pillows, unsure what exactly it was but looked like blood. Friend got rash on arm and suspected bed bugs, checked sheets and luckily didn’t find any.
Bathroom sink had broken handle that came off when lifted.
Breakfast was good- early hours 7:30-8:30 , doors closed by 8:25 and you cannot take food out. But decent has French toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal and juices.
Parking was small but have additional parking below , just have to walk around the corner.
GGuest UserI had not such a real relaxing time.I had been put in a hall way where the noise of anything in this area that was or happen the go through was very loud and noises from all around me were heard, upstairs the people possibly on back of room people from side of me and even laundry.I had been woken up with real loud steeping and jumping from the second floor.Ive never experienced being caught in this from hotels I stay and it will be my last.I don't recommend you let the front people put you somewhere strange in the hotel ask for second floor.By the way I really stay on higher floors then second I don't know why I was fogged about the front desk person convincing me that the room was special.Oh I know because she said she upgraded me to a room with two beds, which I think I had already requested anyway I'll think twice about this place. But if I'm in dire straight I'll neen the second floor please.
YYUEThe hotel is right next to the highway, free parking, suitable for self-driving travel. Breakfast is a simple western-style breakfast with bread bacon sausage and fruit coffee
LLindy_LFor a colleague, display the pre-authorization. As a result, the credit card shows consumption. Colleagues at the front desk are also paying. It has been three months since now, and I have not returned the cost of the card before returning. Still studying how to
