This property is close to downtown (with a car) and very reasonable. It could use better and more lighting for indoor reading and the like. A microwave ($100?) would be a plus as well.
Otherwise, clean, and straightforward.

It was a great and easy stay. The room is exceptionally clean, the area is very safe and quiet. Close to the city center and walkable to many restaurants. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff. The cleaner would come once in two days of stay (this was completely acceptable to me). Check in and check out was easy. I didn’t have a car though, so I am unable to post a review for that part. Nevertheless, I will come back here!

We booked a room with a queen bed and was placed in a room a full bed. It was the Holidays so there was no room service from Wednesday night until Saturday late afternoon. We had to ask for towels and bathroom necessities from the front/check-in office. There was parking but the parking was very cramp, could probably only fit 8 cars but it would have been hard to get out should the parking lot be full.
Besides all of that, the area stayed pretty quiet during the night. Since it’s right off the Main Street, it did get loud during the early mornings to afternoon. The worker/owner was kind.

I enjoyed my stay at Golden Gate Inn. It's a short walk to spots like the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio. The surrounding area felt safe and quiet. Parking is limited but we were able to find street parking a short distance away. The hotel is no-frills, the room has a fridge but no microwave. The door guard lock in my room was broken, but the deadbolt worked and I felt safe the whole stay. The walls are pretty thin and sheets are a little scratchy. Overall I thought this was a good option for an affordable stay in a convenient location for seeing the sights of the city.
