Vintage Hotel/Hostel in a typical Victorian house in San Francisco. It doesn't have an elevator, but you already know that when you book. They are located on a steep street but very close to Union Square, right on the edge where the Union Square neighborhood ends and the tenderloin begins. You can spontaneously find homeless people on the street, but the area is safe during daylight hours. Better to go down to market st through union sq if you go down taylor st you end up in an unsafe area.
I stayed in a single room with all the comforts. Highlight the bathroom that was new and the good quality of the wifi. The only drawback I would say is that the walls are very thin and you can hear what is coming from the adjoining rooms (I heard every time the phone of the person in the next room vibrated).
I can't comment on the common areas because I didn't use them.
I would recommend it without a doubt.
P.S. You must leave a deposit of $20 in cash upon arrival, which will be returned to you at checkout.
