Walls are a bit thin, can hear hotel guests taking and snoring. Also shower door doesn’t lock at all. Bed pillows have no firmness, suggest stacking to get suitable firmness, woke up with stiff necks.

We booked this motel last minute on a tight budget. so our choices were limited. However the Town House fitted the bill. It would be hard to find anywhere in central San Francisco at this price. The location was great - you can't get much more central than Lombard St - and the host Andy was polite. There are literally no frills - the room reminded us of staying over at an aunt & uncle's house in 1970s - but it was neat and clean and there was a homely, hospitable feel. Fridge, microwave, coffee machine, bathroom products - all the basics. If you're looking for the Waldorf Astoria, this is far from it, but if you're looking for something cheap and welcoming in the centre of SF, this will do the job

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and it was close to public transit. The room was a bit dated and had some cosmetic issues. I travel a lot for work so I’ve stayed in many hotels. The big negatives here for me were a lack of accessible outlets, I have a CPAP and figuring out where I could plug it in was challenging. The cable was not working, not a huge issue for me since I always travel with a firestick but I could see how it might upset others, especially when it’s advertised as being one of the amenities. The area is a bit rough so it might not be the best place for a family stay.

This was a cheap option in San Francisco and nearby Alcatraz, the Pier, a marine boat and more. When we checked in, the guy helped us well, and he is also really friendly. We got all the information that we needed for our stay. The key cards stopped working daily, or sometimes even twice a day. Even when we got new cards, the cards didn't work on our doors. That was really strange. We were helped well by the same person, who could not change the situation of course, what we respect. It's just a technical issue. The rooms were quite small, but fine. The shower looked old and wasn't really warm. The parking lot is quite tide, but it worked fine as there were almost to cars on it. Except for this, it is an okay hotel, but maybe consider another one around for a similar price with breakfast. We needed to do a lot of Uber Eats, or supermarket breakfast.

Budget motel in handy quiet location. Don’t expect the Hilton, you get what you pay for. Staff were very helpful

The room smelled badly and was in poor repair. There are no facilities other than fridge which smelt even worse than then room. The picture frame above the bed was broken with a big crack right through it. Plug sockets did not work. Not all the lights worked. Long hairs on the blanket. Dirty, sticky carpet. Hole in the wall, possibly an old socket. Shower door had to be pulled hard to open in but once in the shower you could not shut the door properly. Hair dryer’s fan had on grill and smoked as soon as it was turned on! The ice bucket had a cigarette butt in it! If we had not arrived so late we would have found somewhere else!

Cheap, convenient location. Close to restuarants and walk to fishermans wharf. We were allocated a room where 2 lights were out, hairdryer did not work, filthy shower area with drain cover damaged, shower screen stuck when opening and black mould. All rooms appear to have shutters which dont block out light so was like sleeping in the daytime. Asked to be moved next day..room was cleaner but hairdryer so old totally unsafe to use. Fridge freezer totally iced up. Towels and bed linen clean but so old and thin. Towels had fraying edges. So, if you want cheap and a convenient location give it a go...i would look elsewhere. Also dont let reception grab your passport and take into the back room along with your credit card...dodgy to say the least!
