We stayed here as the first hotel in our delayed trip from 2020 which was to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. We told our booking agent we were celebrating a birthday whilst we were actually at this hotel who entered a note on our booking ‘clients celebrating a birthday’. The Marker did not even acknowledge this. No champagne, nothing. Didn’t even get mentioned when we checked in. So disappointed as we have had chocolates and cards when celebrating a wedding anniversary at other hotels. Fortunately I had made arrangements for a special night out, but it would have been topped it off to come back to a glass of champers. The hotel itself was ok. Clean and quirky. We didn’t like the area it was in. Don’t turn left into the Tenderloin district. We got lost and ended up there, it doesn’t feel safe. It’s convenient for the street cars, get a pass and you can jump on and off as many times a day as you like.
