There was a microwave in the room!
Although the amenities were minimal, the room was spacious and enough for one night's sleep.
I left my luggage before check-in and joined a tour, but when I told them I wouldn't be able to bring my luggage to my room by 3pm, I was able to ask them to carry it to my room.
When you check in, they will give you a brief explanation of tourist spots and dangerous areas on a map of the surrounding area.
