At the end of a loop around the US to see family in Maryland we headed west to San Francisco and a hotel we were excited to experience. We were travelling from Australia with Mother in Law, wife (pregnant) 14 month old son, 12 yrs daughter and myself in order to maintain family connections and to see as much as we could given our family dynamics and needs. As it was the last stop for 3 nights before flying home we were exhausted and hoping for something rejuvenating. We found it! From Steven and the front door who greeted us at 10pm (after a cancelled flight pushed us back 5 hours) thankyou! I was immediately sure I had done the right thing by upgrading to the bay view 2 bedroom apartment. When we opened the door we were blown away. From the views of the bay and Alcatraz, to the complimentary Ghiradelli Bears for the kids, the beds, the linen, the full kitchen, 2 coffee machines, dining table, the quality soaps and accessories the girls absolutely loved.. the list goes on and on and everywhere you look it's more quality, comfort and genuine care. This hotel was a treat for our family and it was a big decision to spend the extra but we don't regret a thing!! What a lovely surprise and a true 'oasis in the desert' moment for us! We worked out in the gym, we played board games in the general purpose room, we enjoyed the complimentary chocolates and on our final night we indulged in the 'wine and cheese' hour (well only I tried the wine!). The charcuterie was extremely good, and we live in the famous Hunter Valley Wine Region in Australia (we are not easily impressed!). On our final morning, my daughter and I swum in the beautiful bay we had been waking up staring at the passed few days. At a breath taking 10 degrees Celsius it was a lovely way to say goodbye. This hotel is emblematic of our experience in San Francisco. We found the people to be authentic and welcoming, we found the atmosphere to be relaxed and the culture to be accepting. Thank you to all the staff at Ghiradelli and thankyou San Francisco. It's definitely not the last you will see of the Frize Family. Until next time, cheers!

We always look forward to a stay at Fairmont Heritage Place. Love the location, amenities, and spacious rooms. Great central location for walking and seeing the sights. Try to get a room with a view if possible. We've had both and definitely prefer the view.

My car was damaged during valet parking, in spite of evident proofs management refused this fact. Though the place and hotel is great , and we stayed there many times before, I don’t trust it any longer. I couldn’t imagine that personnel at such hotel might treat clients so poorly.

Great experience and an awesome experience at the property. I would definitely stay here again on our next vacation to San Francisco.
