Bungalows with an incredible location in the cloud forest. Floor-to-ceiling windows across the entire width with an amazing view. Hummingbirds fly to the balcony, a cozy carpenter in the evening - what more could you want? Great atmosphere in the adjoining restaurant with piano music at breakfast, a delight. A wonderful experience all around!

YEs its a long walk to the bungalow but its worth it!
The room was amazing with the full windows, the jacuzzi bath and nice bed. The food was fabulous. We saw quetzals on the tour and I took a wonderful horseback ride as well

What a wonderful eexoerience we had at Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge! It net all my exoectations. We came to the mountsins to see the Respendant Quetzal bird and our guide Carlos was the best. We saw a male and a female. The dining at Dantuca is exceptional. The dishes were original and very tasty. Service was terrific too. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge is a fun, beautiful, clean place to stay. The drive to and from is STRAIGHT uphill and the lodge is not 'walking distance' to anything unless you have good knees and are in relatively good shape. That said, my daughter and I walked up the hill to Miriam's to get something to eat and enjoyed the bird watching there. The rooms are clean and cozy and the view from room #1 was amazing. We didn't end up being as cold as we anticipated but were fine with heavy sweatshirts or a fleece in the evening and wrapped under the covers at night. BUT if you experience other there are wall fireplaces in each room! Lovely little hotel store where you can purchase locally made crafts, art and jewelry. Meals were good although could be challenging if you weren't able to piece together the lack of English of the staff depending on the day. But they all worked VERY hard and were very responsive. If you want a meal off the property head all the way to the bottom of the hill and check out Kahawa for a drink or dinner! SUCH a peaceful, pretty setting!

Enigszins gedateerde lodge. Huisje 3 ligt vlak bij het restaurant. De rest is verspreid en het kost de nodige energie om bij het restaurant ( ontbijt, lunch en of diner) te komen. Over het eten niets dan lof, ook het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en aardig. Huisje nr. 3 ( wel heel dichtbij) heeft een erg smal 2 persoonsbed. Airco lekte op het bed. Werd na opmerking overigens snel verholpen. Wegens onderhoud waterleiding niet kunnen douchen ook dit werd snel verholpen. Koffie op de kamer ( koffieland bij uitstek) diende betaald te worden ( op geen enkele locatie in Costa Rica was dit het geval). Quatzal- tour is zeker aan te bevelen en was boven verwachting met gids Michael. Was een verblijf voor 2 nachten.

Magnifique endroit. la nature , le cadre , le bon goût de la décoration , la bonne table , le calme , le trek dans le parc . Je vous conseil l’hébergement 8 , certes un peu loin de la réception mais parfait pour l’observation des oiseaux. Sans oublier la boutique avec des produits de qualité ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas.

We enjoyed our stay in a large room with a great view across the cloud forest. We were relieved that we were lucky with the weather and it stayed dry, as the bungalow was located deep in the forest almost a kilometre away from reception and the restaurant, where the food was excellent and the bird-watching opportunities were numerous. We were provided with good maps and the trails within the grounds leading down to the river were mostly well signed. We were initially sceptical about the need for heating, but listen to the instructions as the temperatures do drop significantly overnight and the alcohol burner came in very handy!
