Such a beautiful place and location. A unique stay. We have stayed before that’s why we came again. Unfortunately we had some not so good experiences this time. Mostly with the restaurant. We brought friends with us and we all had different entrees the first night. Each one said the meal was not good! The service was very poor. Breakfast was good. Except for the pineapple/ coconut juice which had soured. But again very poor service. The second night we could only trust a pizza to be palatable. So unfortunate! Also no towels to dry hands in the bathroom off the bar. We mentioned this but nothing changed. If they could change the staff issue and better meals it would get a better rating.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer und auch die Anlage selbst war wunderschön.
Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker und auch das Personal war sehr freundlich.
Es gab an unserem zweiten Tag ab nachmittags (ca. 14:30 Uhr einen kompletten Stromausfall
Es hat dann auf Nachfrage geheißen, dass dies längstens 3 Stunden dauern kann, da dies durch den Wind vorkommen kann, welcher die Stromleitung blockiert.
Der Strom war dann erst am Folgetag wieder da. Das Abendessen war durch Gasherd sichergestellt und im Restaurant sowie in der Bar gab es Kerzen und Laternen.
Was ich nicht gut fand war, dass wir keinerlei Laternen oder Lampen bekommen haben, um uns im Zimmer und auf dem Weg zum Zimmer zurechtzufinden.
Zum Glück hatten wir eigene Taschenlampen dabei.

Tolle Lodge als Ausgangspunkt für Touren um Quetzale zu beobachten. Gemütliches Zimmer mit kleinen Heizofen und Abends gibt es eine Wärmflasche unter die Bettdecke. Leider sehr kleine Auswahl zum Frühstück, wenig bis nichts gesundes. Die 2h Quetzal Tour ist mit 30$ eine abzocke. Man wird mit einem Bus 5 min die Straße hoch gefahren und dort wird nach den Vögeln geschaut, kann man sehr gut alleine machen. Kleine Touren zum Wasserfall um die Lodge herum möglich. Leckere Forelle gibt es auch in umliegenden Restaurants.

A supremely good place to stay for enjoying the cloud rainforest, and birds.
If you're an athlete you can either hike, run the trails, or jog/run the Quetzales grinder hill descent and climb and see the bird on the way.
