Prepare to be treated like family and royalty at the same time. The beauty and tranquility of this exceptional Bed and Breakfast is exceeded only by the graciousness of it’s host. Walking into this charming home is like stepping back in time. The 15 foot high ceilings, carved wood doors and original hundred year old painted walls are stunning. Beautiful period furniture decorates the home, and the rocking chairs on the front porch beckon you to settle in for a comfortable stay. Tony will greet you with an enthusiastic welcome, show you around, answer any questions and make sure that your every need is met. I was up at 6:30 for Zoom meetings every morning, which I took on the porch so as not to disturb anyone. Tony brought me a tray with the most delicious Puerto Rican coffee, and steamed milk, delivered right to my rocking chair. This is all before the unbelievable made to order breakfast. Of all of the B & B’s I have stayed in, this was -BY FAR - the best breakfast. Served on the terrace surrounded by tropical plants and flowers, the inviting tables are quickly strewn with the bounty of the region. Colorful local fruit over yogurt, Tony’s tasty granola, fresh squeezed tamarind juice, made to order eggs with sautéed vegetables, a choice of breakfast meats, thin crisp fried potatoes, warm local bread with butter, homemade pineapple tea….. it is worth the visit for the breakfast alone!!! Located in the historic district of San German, A2 Tiempos is walking distance to all the cultural sites. Restaurants and shops are just a block away as well, and free street parking is plentiful (we got a spot right in front of the B and B both days we were there). After a day of sightseeing it was a pleasure to return to the serene gardens and sounds of the coquis. There is a wine cooler with drinks available, and a variety of treats left out on the counter in case you are craving a little snack. And finally settling into bed at the end of a wonderful day it was easy to fall asleep, feeling well tended to, and very much at home.
