Hotel & Restaurant Casolare le Terre Rosse

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. After travelling around for 10 days in cities this was the relaxation we needed. Room was very clean and reasonable size. We had a room facing the courtyard of tables and lights. Shower was really nice and consistently hot. Slept well, the only thing we didn’t appreciate was the noisy people above us who were thudding and making a loud noise. However this isn’t really the hotel at fault so we didn’t mention it as it didn’t really affect our time, just whilst we were getting ready. We had two fantastic meals at the restaurant on the 1st & last night and the staff were brilliant and attentive. The shuttle bus service is really good and free for going into San giminigano - we appreciated this. 40 minutes to Siena in the car which we also did, so great location. Pool was nice just a shame it was too cold due to the time of year that we stayed. Nice a**osphere and busier than we expected but not too busy. Ping pong table on the grass is a good laugh - could do with some new balls & bats as they aren’t the best! Overall, I’d recommend this hotel. The breakfast was nice for 3 nights and the restaurant was simply exceptional. It has a real family feel and small touches like being walked to your room when you check in with all the basic info given to you is a nice touch.

Lovely stay at charming hotel. Restaurant has wonderful food. Snack bar open all day. Breakfast out of this world. We really enjoyed the front desk staff who gave us excellent recommendations on what to see. All the staff friendly, particularly Beatrice. Even has resident cat! Pool is sparkling clean. Great place for families as well
