Very quiet place, very beautiful view of Pisa and the surrounding area, very warm welcome. It is possible to have your meal on the terrace. The swimming pool was not available at this season. Environmental procedures for the site (solar panels, etc.).

We were guests at the farmhouse for the weekend and had a great experience. Giulio, the owner was kind and helpful in making the stay pleasant. The structure is a little dated but this is also its charm.

The accommodation is on a hill and the access is rather adventurous. But the view, the facilities and the host Gulio are great. I can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation.

Lovely place, we organized the end of year dinner with my daughter's class, the owner Gianluca and all his staff were super helpful, giving the children the opportunity to make free use of the playground, the educational farm, and finally also lessons of baking, not to mention the excellent and above all zero-mile food, excellent value for money

We found this place by chance on the internet and after a chat with the owner Giulio, we understood that it is a special place. Panoramic position on Mount Pisano, reachable by car thanks to Giulio's directions. Located halfway up the mountain, surrounded by an olive grove and nature. Simple, rustic and suff clean room. Rustic dinner/breakfast room, dinner/breakfast with their own and local products (very good!). Really fair price. A minimum spirit of adaptation is sufficient: it must be understood, understood and appreciated for its simplicity and zero impact on the surrounding nature. Advised!!

Fantastic view of Pisa and the sea from the energetically autonomous site and invisible from the plain

A wonderful place to just be. We used it, among other things, as a base camp for our excursions to Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, but also to go to the beach, which is about 20 minutes away. One day we were just "at home" and enjoyed the lovely air and nice pool. The host Giulio is incredibly service minded who wants you to have as good a time as possible. He has a lot of tips on things to see and do, if you want it. There is a bit of a winding serpentine road up to the place, but there was no problem with it at all, despite a half-sized car.

We actually wanted to go to a campsite, but they were all closed. We were standing a bit lost on the road in San Giuliano Terme when a man approached us and asked if we were looking for somewhere to stay. When we said yes, he put us in touch with Giulio's Agriturismo la Grotta - he was his neighbor - and it was the best coincidence of the vacation. Instead of one night, we stayed three nights. We were and are delighted by this beautiful oasis in the countryside and by the friendliness and comfort of the accommodation. Although it was months ago, I keep thinking about the lovely stay and the nice encounters there. That's why I'm writing this comment now - albeit late. The property is a dream! It is totally quiet and secluded between olive groves and forests on the hillside. You have a wonderful view of Pisa in the west and the Apuan Alps in the north. The property is quite high up on the hill, but by car you can get to the main road to Pisa and Lucca in the valley very quickly and easily. The host Giulio and his wife gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. Our Italian is very poor, so it was helpful that Giulio speaks fluent English; he has an English university degree. His wife also speaks fluent English. Giulio has been managing the agriturismo for several years and is gradually converting the facility to sustainable and resource-saving management and independent energy supply in conjunction with sustainable forestry. This topic is very close to his heart and he explained the individual projects to us very well after a long breakfast. Because of Corona, and because it was low season, we were the only guests. The room was impeccable, very clean and large and furnished with beautiful and large furniture for storing belongings. The bathroom was also very spacious, tastefully and very stylishly and comfortably furnished. The outdoor area is large and invites you to play boules, play badminton or watch the view and the sunset in a deck chair. Large trees provide shade so that it will be bearable even in the summer heat. Unfortunately, it was still too cold to swim in the very beautiful and stylishly designed pool. From the accommodation you can take very nice walks and hikes. A popular destination is the Hermitage on the former (medieval!) connecting route from Pisa to Lucca on the ridge behind the house. After three days we continued our trip to Tuscany. Giulio gave us valuable tips for the rest of our trip with his regional knowledge. We would be happy to come back to Giulio on our next visit to Tuscany. This will certainly not be long in coming.

Despite the good intentions of the young owner and the place being really nice... a series of things... as far as we are concerned they really... surprised us... Upon our arrival... in the evening our really clean and tidy room was freezing ..with a small child...in short...the heating came on at 8pm..At dinner...Giulio's proposals...were good...but both main courses...were cold dishes, in a dining room ..cold..the television in the living room was off limits..reserved for the old owner, who did not fail to point out how naughty and noisy our child was..Neglected exterior. Breakfast was normal..Good advice for visit the vicinity.
