Simply excellent and beautiful boutique hotel if you're in need of some peaceful pampering! From the service of Rebeca and team to the attention to small details, such as the seamless transfers between reception and your room, L'Occitane products in your shower and serving you a glass of iced water each time you return by boat. Keep in mind that this is an option for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay around the lake, in a jungle setting and away from the bustle of Flores (I visited during Semana Santa and I was beyond happy with my choice as the island was having non-stop parties in the streets). If you just want to read, swim, chill in a hammock, then this is perfect for you. If you want a base to explore Peten and access to food variety (esp. vegetarian/vegan options), then I would suggest staying on the island itself. The hotel offers private boat transfers to/from Flores at selected times at no cost (otherwise it's $25 per trip): departure from hotel 7am/1pm/5pm, departure from Flores 1:30pm/5:30pm ("flexible" timings in some cases, so just make sure you coordinate with reception). Personally, I found it very convenient as I just wanted to spend one afternoon in Flores. The hotel also offers stand-up paddle, kayaks and has a short hiking trail and a beautiful high deck overlooking the lake, which is perfect for yoga with a view. And the restaurant is great - small menu with delicious items (don't miss out on the Ceviche Maya-Peruano). I would perhaps only suggest to play more relaxing, instrumental music rather than pop and old school tracks all day, so it matches the relaxing jungle vibe more, and to offer wine by the glass at a cheaper price, they only offer bottles.
