There was a lot of noise in the halls and this noise affected the room, it was hard to sleep with the noise

I had a 5 star experience here for 8 nights and enjoyed a beautiful room overlooking the golf course and mountains. The room service was exceptional particularly the quesadilla and the pasta dishes. The pools were sensational and even tho it was packed there was plenty of room for everyone. The spa was well worth it (ask for Laura) she is the best! I had great housekeeping from Maria on the fifth floor and my favorite bellman was a gentleman named Carlos. Everyone was very friendly and when there were any issues at checkout or checkin they were resolved quickly by the excellent customer support team of Caleb, Jackeline & Gianina all of whom provided impeccable service.

The transportation to the airport is very convenient, the breakfast is rich, there is a golf driving range outside, the building is full of history, the room is large, but the bathroom is relatively simple, the water flows everywhere during the shower, and the room is a bit old.

Beautiful hotel building and grounds - it was formerly a plantation. There are even antique pieces of furniture in the corridors The bedrooms are well appointed with full amenities ( but no bath). There were no robes or slippers in the room. Nor a minibar. I had upgraded to an executive room with direct access as to the pool It the food was mediocre. The bar prices were high and frankly the downstairs sports bar needs a complete make over. The furniture is tired with stains) I had ordered a taxi to the airport for 6am but reception had booked it for 630 am the next morning What I understand is that the hotel is under local management and is certainly no where near the standards of a full service Marriott in North America. Disappointing. On my next visit I will choose a different hotel downtown SAN Jose
