Pretty good place if you need to stay in downtown San Jose. Property is safe and clean. Breakfast is great and rooftop is lovely for a drink or dessert.

We stayed at Hotel Presidente at the end of our 7-night trip in Costa Rica and really enjoyed the hotel. It has an urban/artsy/industrial vibe and our room had just been renovated---it was huge with a king bed and a very nice, spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good---they had something for everyone. The front staff was very helpful. We had dinner one evening at their indoor/outdoor restaurant on the 4th floor. Small but lovely. Great location, in the heart of things. Very nice hotel to begin or end your stay in Costa Rica!

Really nice hotel, certainly for the area. Does not look like the outside pictures, but then again, the inside is better than the pictures, so that makes up for it. Staff very friendly, rooms/beds/pillows comfortable. Breakfast buffet is 'ok', nothing fancy. Wifi fast. Overall, for business, yes.

Stayed here for 3 nights from May 16-19 and it is a centrally located hotel and close to many central things in the area. The hotel itself is nice and the staff as well. Breakfast was pretty good as well. I’d say the only thing it is missing is a gym or pool.

We only stayed one night in preparation to catch an early morning flight the next day. I didn't get the overall impression that San Jose would be safe at night for 2 women (we would prob look like easy targets for some of the things the guidebooks warn you about). But our stay here was nice only to be made much better by every single staff member we encountered. So helpful and courteous. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to a friend traveling through.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit avant de repartir en France. L’hôtel est idéalement situé en plein centre ville ce qui est pratique pour visiter la ville. L’hôtel est en cours d’aménagement. La partie récente est moderne et agréable certaines parties sont en décalage avec celles qui ont été rénovées. Les chambres sont propres et confortables et elles ont été repeintes récemment. Cependant, elles ne sont pas très modernes et le bâtiment extérieur n’est pas beau. Il manque du gel douche et de la crème pour le corps ainsi que des mouchoirs en papiers. La présence d’un frigo est un plus. Le petit-déjeuner est correcte mais sans plus. Le jus de fruit n’avait pas de goût. Le personnel est serviable.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with our four oversized pieces of luggage, both on check in and departure. Our room was sparsely furnished, although very clean, and the bed was very comfortable and the linens were terrific. The shower pressure was good and the water was hot. For dinner, the hotel restaurant was very good; breakfast off the lobby was well above average with a varied array of offerings.

Très bel hôtel, idéalement situé dans le centre de San José. Chambre très grande avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Personnel très agréable et accueillant.Très bon restaurant en roof top, idéal pour boire un pot également. Rapport qualité prix très correct
