Property and personnel are stellar. But next to a train...and night clubs. Very noisy til 3 am. And no street signs to hotel.

It was a fun stay. The staff are lovely.
The room itself was very hot, with only a ceiling fan to cool it - and oddly, the sliding door didn’t lock, only the security gate outside the door, which felt a bit odd.
Breakfast was lovely and service was good. As long as you don’t mind a bit ‘rustic’ then it is a good place to stay, easy walking distance to the city and Barrio Escalante.

Fantastic little hotel in San Jose, close to all the museums and great restaurants. It’s like a little oasis once you enter the hotel, great breakfast and wonderful warm welcoming staff. We stayed here twice during our 3 week trip to Costa Rica and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend

Maison très colorée et cadre assez joli. L’accueil était chouette, les propriétaires étaient souriants. La chambre n’était pas des meilleures (airco) mais totalement ok pour le rapport qualité-prix. Le petit-déjeuner était très bon et de nouveau dans un beau cadre. L’hôtel se situe à 30 minutes à pied du centre donc un peu loin mais il y a des restaurants autour dont une crêperie à 10 minutes à pied que je recommande.

Really nice atmosphere and traditional house. Everything was clean, we had enough space and especially liked the great breakfast and rooftop terrace 😊 even tho we didn’t feel safe in San Jose itself, the accommodation provided us with great safety measures at the entrance. The service staff was super kind and the location is perfect for get a glimpse of the city. Nearby neighborhood Bario Escalante was our favorite. You can walk there and get to cool restaurants and bars! Thanks to the hosts again and especially the fair price having breakfast included!

Casa 69 is a a total gem in downtown San Jose. Clean, comfortable, calm and beautiful. The owner and all staff really helpful and lovely. A big tasty breakfast is included and there is a fabulous roof terrace, perfect to watch the sunset. Location is great as it’s really close to many museums and central market. I really recommend staying here.

Mega nettes Personal ( allen voran Winsdon) Lager sehr zentral, dadurch leider laut. Trotzdem zu empfehlen. Frühstück ist einfach aber sehr lecker. Zimmer einfach aber sehr sauber. Als Ausgangslage in CA perfekt. Parkplätze werden gegen Gebühr angeboten, empfiehlt sich anzunehmen. Auto steht dann sicher in einer Garage oder Hof.
