Avoid at all costs on weekends if you are on a work trip. My team and I have used this hotel many times for work and always had an exceptional experience. For my current work trip, I was at another hotel and switched back to this one due to a poor experience at a different hotel. However, there is a prom here tonight (Saturday), and the response from the hotel has been less than stellar. I do not begrudge high school students having a prom at all. But I do hold the hotel responsible when the music is so loud that I can feel it vibrating on my room on the 15th floor when the prom is on the first floor. And did I mention I have a sound machine, and it still isn't blocking out the noise effectively? When the front desk agent and I have to stand one inch apart, and still shout at each other to hear each other talk, that should indicate a problem. I did not even ask them to turn it down; I just asked if there is a prom during our next work trip. But when the desk agent talks to his manager and "cannot confirm or deny" if there will be another prom on the date of our next work trip, I find it hard to believe they would not know their own schedule. That invites incredulity. I just texted my team to consider changing reservations to a different hotel since we have to work weekends. It is 10:19 pm and I have to get up at 4:30am. This place is a no-go for weekends if you are working. I love this hotel but imagine how the people on the floors below me feel.
