Upon arrival at this boutique hotel with its beautiful interior architecture, we were so warmly greeted by Teresa, a most friendly, welcoming, caring and attentive lady. Check- in was a breeze and Teresa explained the security system, breakfast hours, Wi-Fi code and contact number should we need any assistance at any time for anything. Our room, number 7 has a comfy full size bed, a small desk with a comfortable chair, a mini refrigerator, an 8" x 6" safe, TV, and small bedside tables. While the frosted windows are lovely, light does come through at night so it is not a fully darkened room. The water pressure in the shower is extremely poor and the temperature changes on its own from hot/warm to cold every couple of minutes. Lighting and surface space in the bathroom is poor. Surprisingly no shower gel, shower cap or a magnified mirror is provided. A pocket size packet of tissues was provided one time. Tiny soap bars are provided as well as a hair dryer. Two bottles of water are given just only on your day of arrival. No water is provided in the lobby. Housekeeping is excellent ~ our room was immaculate! Towels and tub mats are great! We so enjoyed our delicious breakfast choices each time. You select one of several dishes listed on a menu such as an egg burrito or pancakes or waffles, or yogurt with fruit or two eggs with bread or another item offered is a bagel with smoked salmon and you also get to choose one drink. There are several add-ons for a fee. Just outside the guest rooms are two spots to relax and sit ~ one spot with a chair and ottoman and another with two chairs and a rocker. We understand there is a jacuzzi on the roof. Location was perfect as many attractions, shops and restaurants are within walking distance.....actually, we found all of Old San Juan to be within walking distance! Highly recommend Sofia's Italian Steakhouse Restaurant and Istanbul Restaurant, both located a short walking distance from the hotel.
