One of the few value-oriented spots to stay in SLO. Don't have high expectations and it will be ok. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the room has been updated over time. The pool is a construction site now with no activity on a Friday afternoon so who knows when it will be done. The parking lot is falling apart and almost like parking on a dirt lot. Shower in the room was using a shower head that desperately needs to be replaced or cleaned. The pressure was bad, spray was going everywhere through the plugged holes and the hot water was scarce in the morning. The kirkland coffee pods at breakfast were a highlight, otherwise some unappealing microwave sausage biscuits or a pastry type thing are breakfast. The EV charger was nice to see but there's a $10 charge to use it. For a plug-in hybrid that's about twice the price of gas. It would be helpful if the price was based on time or electricity used. The view from the second floor is great with a nice panorama of SLO. It's also really close to Cal Poly and easily walkable to downtown.
