I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The staff at reception were so kind and so accommodating! I was allowed to check in early, even drop off bags before the room was ready. The room was nice and cool when I got in, the pillows were soooo comfortable and the bathtub was amazing! They made sure I had everything I need, and the breakfast was absolutely incredible!!! I was extremely happy with my stay and will be recommending to anyone visiting SLO :)

The Garden House is a beautiful, spacious inn with large tastefully decorated rooms. It’s right in downtown San Luis Obispo, so you can walk to all the restaurants and other amenities of the city easily. The historic was friendly and accommodating , and the breakfast she and her staff prepared was fantastic. When I return to SLO I will definitely stay here again.

Cozy and cute inn. Check in was fast, easy, and friendly. The room was nice. Comfy bed, quiet neighborhood, and spacious room. Breakfast was amazing! Location was perfect; within walking distance of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Definitely would return.

What a special place! Enjoyed my single night stay- had a claw foot tub and it was a nice way to end my evening- soaking in a hot bath! Bed was comfy, shades kept room dark till I wanted light. The best part was breakfast- delicious coffee/cream, delicious oj, coffee cake muffins, fruit + hot breakfast was skillfully prepared- a 2 egg tostada with spicy beans. It was a delightful dish I would not have ordered, but now will seek to make at home!

Very responsive, friendly and helpful!! Adorable, historic hotel. Would definitely stay again! Only downside was my room was street level and faced a parking lot so not much exterior privacy. Breakfast in the morning was diverse and delicious! Hotel is close to downtown and walking distance to the train which is great for those going car-free! Hosts took time to answer questions and share facts about the property!
