Hotel Casa Rosada - Adults Only

Another wonderful stay! The hotel has a great location walking distance to every location! The staff is over the top friendly and service pristine! Erika was delightful at breakfast area and the GM on top of anything you need! Highly recommend this hotel you will not regret! Kudos to the staff!!

Have stayed at this property several times for 7+ years & enjoyed it, so I do not enjoy writing a negative review about a property I previously liked. Unfortunately, the last 2 visits have been less pleasant. It seems that the owners are continuing to ignore the reality that the rooms are well "past due" for significant upgrades. Especially "if" they intend to keep the pricing at current 4+ star levels. Otherwise, lower the rates to that of a 2-3 star property & stop pretending to be 4 star or higher property. The public areas are truly lovely & inviting & they are kept in good condition & this is what draws repeat guests. The location only 1 block from the main Plaza also cannot be beat. However, the rooms continue a downhill slide. If I am paying $200++ nightly I should not have to fill a trash can with water from the bathtub to get the toilet to flush for 3 days. In addition, I have NEVER stayed at another 4+ star property in SMA that provided such inferior worn & thin bed linens. Totally unacceptable at these rates. And how about new & clean shower curtains & basic cleaning of the STAINED & DIRTY carpet & window coverings? EASILY visible "urine & blood" stains on BOTH mattress covers is absolutely unacceptable & unforgiveable in ANY hotel. Casa Rosada was originally part of the TESORO hotel group which has some of the finest boutique properties in Mexico, but the hotel HAS NOT been part of TESORO for several years even though the sign is still displayed at the exterior entrance, which is misleading to say the least. All employees are very helpful, friendly & eager to provide quality service, so NO complaints about employees. The problems are directly related to ownership & management decisions. If Casa Rosada wants to pretend to be a 4+ star property the rooms need MASSIVE quality upgrades, & housekeeping needs a HUGE wakeup call as the attached photos clearly confirm.

What a fantastic and beautiful place to stay while visiting SMA. This was our first time here and we could not have been happier with our choice of staying at Casa Rosada. The hotel is located right where you want to be in the historic area. So easy to walk to everything. The Staff at reception and the staff for their onsite restaurant were some of the nicest people we met. They truly care about you and help whenever needed. the GM Manuel welcomed us like family and was always there to answer any questions or help in any way he could. He was a wealth of knowledge to help us with our stay and we look forward to seeing him on our next trip back. How nice a hotel is and how good their staff is determines many times whether your trip is good or not and I can say without question that they hit the mark one hundred percent on all of this and left us wanting to return. We were there for 9 nights and it truly was an experience we will never forget. We stayed in the L room which was very nice and had great views out over the city and fantastic sunset views from its large Patio. We had the included breakfast and as vegetarians they went out of their way to accommodate us with special requests, but all of their food looked wonderful and they had many choices on there regular menu as well that worked for us. Special thanks to Erica and Ishmael who worked breakfast for their smiling faces and assistance each morning. Thanks again for giving us such a great experience, especially since it was a birthday trip for us. See you next year.

My husband is unable to walk too much. Casa Rosada was a perfect choice. So close to the Jardin yet so quiet inside the adobe walls. There were some steps to our basic room from the Lobby/street but that was not a problem. The Junior and Master Suites have more steps but are larger with great views and patios. Our basic was great- charming, quiet, good shower and beds, good Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served in one of their beautiful courtyards. Jose Manuel and his staff are wonderful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful trip! The architecture, history, music, museums, people, weather, and lovely community of people are all amazing. Thanks his was our 1st visit to SMA and we will certainly return. Spiked our interest to learn more about Mexicos rich history.

I loved my stay at the beautiful Casa Rosada Hotel. The property is an old, historic structure that has been beautifully maintained and very reminiscent of everything I love about Mexico: the lovely courtyard for dining and sipping coffee, the numerous outdoor terraces for watching a sunset or just reading a book, the well furnished guest rooms with beautiful tile and textiles and the wonderful and friendly service. And the bed was very comfortable too! The hotel paid attention to my every need. The location is fantastic and is within walking distance of everything in San Miguel. I highly recommend Casa Rosada for any occasion.
