"The main hotel is charming and beautiful touches. We were in the other building 10 minutes walk and not as charming but clean with the wonderful housekeeping lady. What was not appreciated was how stingy they were. Even the plastic water bottle next to the bed had a price tag and if you use more than one pod pe person you are charges. They charges us extra $100 a night for the 3 rd person and didn't give us an extra coffee pod!! Make sure you don't open the wrapping of the room freshener because you might get charged $38 since the price tag is inside the wrapper."

"Hotel staff are incredibly helpful and very accommodating. Parking is available and a must have when staying in San Miguel Allende. Breakfast from 9-11 included eggs cooked for you, not the usual you would have expected like cereal etc. The area is relatively quiet, we slept like babies. The location is an an easy and inexpensive cab ride from the hotel and the best way to travel back and forth from the city. Beautiful environment that lives up to its name, MANSION SAN MIGUEL ALLENDE!!!!"

"The design of the hotel lobby is particularly beautiful! The public area in the lobby is also very cozy. The room was quite big, very beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep. The bathroom was a bit slow, but there was no problem overall. No breakfast, but I came to the hotel restaurant to order food directly. french bread and hot cake are really beautiful and delicious. 😋 scrambled eggs are also very fragrant. It is very convenient to take a taxi from the station for 10 minutes."

"This was our first trip to San Miguel. We were welcomed by the owner and Daniella with moist towels, water and a taste of Mezcal. We loved the quaint quiet environment during our stay. The staff trested us well and when we requested ice it was brought to our room. The food for breakfast was overall good. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and learning about Deborah Tuberville. We will recommend this hotel in the future. One note: San Miguel does have a 16% IVA along with a 4% Lodging tax which does add to the cost."

Water leaks out to outside area till the carpeted floor. The bathroom area was run down. No hot water at the water basin. No stopper found for Water basin/sink . The bathroom had a window pane opening out and not supported by a ventilator . Cold at night ."

"Terrible experience. The older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. She would not refund me the difference for a downgraded suite. The upgraded suite they gave me had a balcony door that would not lock. As a solo female traveler, I told them I didn't feel safe. They offered me a downgraded suite which I was fine with, but would not refund me the difference. I took it of course because the town was sold out. They charge you the full amount when you check in so I had no recourse. Later, they said they fixed the door and I could move back in, but by then I was so angry I didn't want to deal with them. Incredibly rude. The hotel says they are 4 stars, 3 at best. For the money it was not worth it. Also, it's connected to a night club so every night there's loud music until 4 am."

"Our stay at this hotel was a blend of highs and lows. On the upside, our room was spacious, stylish, and exceptionally clean, complemented by a stunning view from the restaurant. However, the hotel's location on a steep hill was a significant drawback. Without Uber service due to the incline, we faced a challenging ascent equivalent to ten stories to reach our room, half of it without the aid of a ramp, which made carrying our luggage quite difficult. The lack of an elevator in such a tall property was a surprising oversight, and in our opinion, this should be clearly indicated on booking platforms as a caution to future guests. The sole restaurant's open-air setting, while picturesque, detracted from our dining experience, especially during breakfast and dinner, as we were subject to the whims of the weather and temperature. We also encountered issues with the staff's aggressive upselling tactics. With the hotel being almost vacant, they allocated us what seemed like the worst room available and then requested an additional 1000 MXN pesos for a room with a better view. Another concerning point was the absence of a fire alarm in our room, raising serious questions about the hotel's commitment to safety. In conclusion, while the room quality and scenic views were impressive, our overall experience was dampened by these significant drawbacks. The hotel's lack of basic amenities and the staff's pushy sales tactics left us feeling more like sources of revenue than valued guests."

"Location is great, room design is so cute, staff is super friendly and responsive via WhatsApp. It is located in a little boutique shop alcove, there are only 3 rooms amongst a few small shops. It felt very hidden and special. They provide you with a basket of breakfast brought to your door every morning, which was delightful and made the stay feel so special - we loved enjoying it on the balcony every morning. That was the highlight! You could also see the top of the church from our balcony and bedroom window (Juana) and it was magical when it was lit up at night! The downsides were that the AC unit wasn’t very strong, so the room was quite hot (we were there the first week of May) - this made it pretty uncomfortable and not that relaxing. There is no TV in the room. The room felt smaller than expected based on the photos."
