The Westin Cozumel

Love coming to Westin and this is our 12th time. Mother day dinner!! Ricardo told us about a special dinner option for mother's day and it was fantastic! 4 courses and all were great. Eating on the beach with a beautiful sunset, family and drinks.

The staff was very helpful … Margarita was the BEST helping me with Spanish … however all employees were friendly and helpful … pillows not the best and they need more umbrellas for shade on the beach … food good but could use more verity only 2 different menus (rotate based on restaurant open that day…two restaurants) and for 7 day stay it gets old

Finally had the chance to give a review after coming home. Westin Cozumel offers a blissful retreat. The location is stunning, rooms are luxurious, and the staff is incredibly attentive. With top-notch amenities and breathtaking views, it's the perfect destination for a tranquil getaway. Highly recommend!

Wonderful staff!!

The hotel is located some distance away from the busy downtown area but taxis are readily available if you really need to get back to town. The hotel itself is a bit dated but in a reasonable condition. Service was friendly throughout and fairly efficient. Our room had a nice sea view, a comfy bed, and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. There were several issues though including a noisy air conditioner, lack of hot water at peak times, and no slippers provided (although they do provide dressing robes). There a gym on the 3rd floor which is a good size. And the Sky Lounge on the top floor which had a bar, infinity pool, amazing sunset views and a happy hour between 6-8pm. The main outdoor pool on the ground level is a good size but there is no separate adults pool. The beach itself is small and a little bit rocky but with no sea****. It provided for some really excellent snorkelling with an abundance of marine life just a few feet away (snorkelling equipment is available for free). The food is hit or miss. We dined at the Cuzamil restaurant where they serve mainly pasta dishes. The dishes we tried were overcooked resulting in the pasta sticking together in clumps. Breakfast on the other hand was quite good. Ultimately, the real wow factor here is the small beach with its fabulous marine life just offshore and the spectacular sunsets.

Before I mention the Westin hotel amenities, it has to be said what makes the Westin Cozumel special is the people who work there! Where everyone we met was helpful and kind, we did not get everyone’s name. But for those we did, they made our stay fun and helpful. - Carmen - restaurant - thank you for greeting us every day with a smile and a good laugh. It truly was a great way to start our day - Wendy - restaurant - you are following Carmen’s footsteps with that smile. - Luis - chamber steward - thanks for all the help with our room and keeping it tidy - Jerso - doorman - thanks for your help in directions and a bit of good humor - Margarita - restaurant - ahhh. We had a good laugh when I lost my table and you also found my wife going to another table! - Gilberto -front desk - thanks for the help with all matters I asked for help Also, though o forgot to get the names of the Spa staff, you were all so kind and helpful with our treatments and saunas. The Westin Cozumel is a beautiful, clean and low key place to stay. Not a party spot but more for relaxation and reading a book at the beach or the pool on the top floor. The turquoise waters are home to many varieties of fish, rays, and a host of sea creatures that are fun to explore while snorkeling right out the door of your room. We visited in February and enjoyed ourselves so much that we admittedly spoiled ourselves with a second trip 8 weeks later. As a Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member for 10 years, I chose this hotel based on my loyalty however , because the hotel has only 4 suites, I wasn’t able to be upgraded which I was hoping for. First world problems. You will enjoy this hotel if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed trip! The staff will make sure you do!

It was wonderful. All things were in good quality and amazing, from the room to the service in all departments, especially Margarita in breakfast, so nice, so kind, beautiful smile, she is the best. Our recommendation - take the All Inclusive Package!

Had a good time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Would staff again.
