Mara Laguna Suites

Our condo was on the third (top) floor overlooking a saltwater lagoon. The trip up the stairs was serious exercise for us old folks, but the condo was nicely laid out and well furnished. There was a guard on duty at all times on the main gate and everyone was very friendly and pleasant. There was a balcony the length of the condo and we enjoyed watching a large crocodile swimming in the lagoon. The condo was north of town, maybe a ten minute golf car ride.

Very safe place. Security at the entrance is nice. Views of the ocean and the lagoon keep it interesting. Crocs in the lagoon! Vacasa staff very helpful. Iguanas are entertaining. Sunrises beautiful. Bring insect repellent. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach restaurants but completely doable.

Nice place for family or multi couples. 2 big balconies, spacious living accommodations. Clean and across street from fresh market and grocery convenience. Not ideal for walking into city or to beaches, better for golf cart access. Safe place to stay. Security at front door. Pool area nice, and grounds are well kept. Would stay there again. Stayed in Jan 2022 Judy hubby and I. Good prices for all the space you get. We rented a 1 bedroom condo for one week at Mara Laguna, Ocean facing unit. The view was nice, once you look past the construction. Unfortunately you are effectively run on the main street, so the road noise at times can be very loud (don't expect a peaceful cup of coffee while looking at on the water) The location is very good, as you are just north of the bridge, and downtown is a quick cart ride to town. BTW, you definitely need a cart to get around. We did not try the pool. It looked swimmable, but all the amenities around the pool were non functional, in serious disrepair. If you stay longer for 2-3 days, bring your own soap, shampoo etc. We had an issue with our AC that was fixed the day we reported it. The unit was well appointed and comfortable. If I returned, I would get a unit off the street and give up the ocean view.
