Indigo Belize

A group of friends and myself just came back from a wonderful week at Indigo Belize unit **. It was a wonderful location on the island. We liked that it was not ground floor so we could have a better view. We also enjoyed not being on the top floor so that we weren't constantly going up and down two flights of stairs. This location is the intersection of all the best places in San Pedro. You are right at the turn for Secret Beach. You are just down the street from our favorite dining places at Matachica (Tuesday is BOGO margaritas and $3 tacos). Palm Supermarket just down the road has the best selection on the island (including Diet Coke). The constant upkeep and cleaning made this place really stand out. I also liked on site security from dusk until dawn. I really felt that we got an incredible value for the money we spent here. We would not have had the upkeep and amenities that saving a few bucks would have cost us at another place. This place is really as nice as the pictures show! *For those complaining about not enough toilet paper or detergent pods, this is a condo rental, not a hotel. This is standard and part of the reason that places like this stay affordable. I had no problem picking up TP and making sure it was the kind that I preferred.

It is a beautiful location with awesome staff. It is a short golf cart ride from a couple of local places to eat and the staff was very helpful with recommendations. We can not say enough about how great and friendly the staff was. They helped us book everything from scuba excursions to flights to the mainland to visit Mayan ruins. They went our of their way to be sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions. The buildings and pool are very well taken care of and the beach and dock are a sight to see at sunrise. The location is about 25 minutes by golf cart from the loud and crowded town of San Pedro. It is close to Secret Beach and there is wildlife in the area to enjoy. There are a few resorts within walking distance (＜1 mile) along the beach and a nice coffee shop just a short stroll down the road. I will definitely stay here again.

I too am sad to leave a negative review as the accommodations and grounds were lovely. The incidental charges for toilet paper, dishwashing machine soap, paper towels may be normal but how does barely 2 rolls of TP get you through 12 days! Our golf cart was dreadful, broken windshield, no brake lights, brakes didn’t work, no horn, constant backfiring. We were promised the windshield would be fixed but never was. We got charged for a towel ($55) that we supposedly stained. Though a lovely place I would not return and tell others to be wary if you choose Indigo.
