Blue Tang Inn

Prime Location: The hotel is situated directly on the beach, within walking distance to San Pedro’s town center, restaurants, bars, dive shops, and the "World Famous" Palapa Bar.

I highly recommend Blue Tang Inn. All of the staff were kind and friendly. I loved having breakfast included, and enjoyed my morning coffee at a picnic table overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very clean and towels and garbages changed daily if wished. The location was perfect- facing the ocean, walkable to the heart of San Pedro, yet we had perfect sleeps in our quiet room. I loved glimpsing local life, with school kids walking by Blue Tang weekday mornings, and kids playing soccer with flip-flop goals on the sand in the evening. It was nice having a kitchen to cook, prepare or reheat food if we wished. The pool by the ocean was perfect- nice lounge chairs and we often had the pool to ourselves as Blue Tang Inn is a quaint size. There is an awesome rooftop patio and colourful artwork throughout the Inn. I wish I knew everyone's name because I just loved the staff but shout outs to Daisy for breakfast and housekeeping, Isela and Robert at the front desk, Victor keeping us safe on night shift, and Fanny for managing a great place.

I returned to Ambergris Caye and decided to stay near downtown San Pedro this time as opposed to one of the remote resorts we stayed in on previous trips. After extensive research, I chose the Blue Tang Inn and am very glad I did. This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Ambergris Caye. Centrally located, close to the best restaurants in San Pedro and located on the waterfront, this well-kept inn was an ideal place to rest up a relax after beautiful, long days exploring the caye. The staff is friendly, welcoming and professional and always available to assist. All of my requests were tended to immediately and graciously including booking a day-sail on their own vintage sailboat to snorkeling spots at Hol Chon. The whole experience could not have been easier. Even though The Blue Tang Inn is located in the heart of San Pedro, once you step onto the property a sense of privacy and calm takes hold. The rooms are spotless, quiet and comfortable, and stocked with everything I needed. Breakfast is served on the patio dining area each morning overlooking the water and I enjoyed a wide variety of offerings paired with exceptional coffee. Blue Tang is now our go-to spot on Ambergris and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
