Amara
Get to know the great location of Donosti and its surrounding area. They paid parking 100 meters from the hotel. Parking on the street is difficult. Walk to La Concha for 20 minutes, across the shopping street. Very friendly staff. The room is very comfortable, quite large, and the bathroom is adequate. Like Casual, the furniture is very small, there is no wardrobe, there is only a hole in the wall, there is a bar and hangers on it, and a shelf (under the refrigerator). For a small table, two wooden boxes without any gap can be moved away, for example.. There is also a table and a chair. I want to know if it takes a lot of effort to place some kind of chest of drawers, wardrobes, etc. Leave a little privacy in it. Of course, there is nothing safe. The breakfast was good.

This was a fantastic hotel 20 mins outside San Sebastián, There is a good bus service to connect you to the city centre but it is a great place to come back to and relax. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the spa is excellent and there is a well equipped gym. The location right beside the forest is so peaceful and there are a number of walks to take or you can just sit in one of the many seating areas and just look out at the greenery. The food is good and there are many choices. Very comfortable bedrooms. This hotel offers the perfect place to both explore the busy streets of San Sebastián as well as relax in a calm and tranquil atmosphere

Positive - The staff worked very hard to engage and make your stay pleasant. Helpful and responsive to feedback. Negatives - Location is odd. While walkable to the main attractions, it can be quite a walk and if the weather was bad too long. There are taxis and you could learn the bus system but its a long 20 minutes vs a short 20 minutes. Mattress uncomfortably hard. Bathroom has all sorts of design flaws that lead to wet counters and sinks that don’t really drain. If the key isnt in the slot there is no water. The worst part. Each evening my room smelled of stale tobacco. Not sure if wafting in from outside smokers, apartment building next door, or the aircon venting system but each night I fell asleep to stale smoke. Cool enough to open windows but then you hear noise and get smoke. By morning it wasnt there or during the day so I suspect the source is real and not my imagination. As far as roof deck, I had forgotten it existed. I did not see signs in room or elevator or comments from staff encouraging use so forgot. Maybe it would have been pleasant? I was on 4th floor and my view was the apartment building next door. Breakfast was OK and there is also a little a la cart coffee bar with breakfast sandwiches if you prefer to skip the buffet. If I visit again I would pay more to stay closer to old town or Gros. Didnt find the hotel comfortable or well situated. The staff do make an effort and I give 3 stars for that.

Gros
I spent two and a half days and three nights at this establishment. I can’t think of anything else they could have done to make my stay more pleasant. The reception by Paul was wonderful. He was polite, understanding and well explained all the amenities that came with the stay. The studio unit was clean, and well appointed with fresh linen, towels and bottled water. There is no AC which is quite common, but the unit was equipped with two powerful, adjustable fans, and the windows opened slightly for fresh air. The hotel is a 50 yards or so from train tracks serving the local station. Trains run periodically during the day but diminish as the evening approaches. The location is a short walk to Old Town San Sebastián where one can experience plenty of enjoyable night life and the crowds are not a problem, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars. All in all, a nice stay for my first visit to San Sebastián.
Numad Studios

This hotel is very clean and looks very new. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I think the hotel could use better management. For example, a new clerk (his first day) on arrival was unsure how to get us a parking in the garage, or on another day they were out of cups that go in the rooms. It's too bad because it's a really cute hotel and the breakfast was good. And all the employees were extremely nice. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the Concha and the Old Town. We are walkers and enjoyed the stroll the hotel, but if you have issues with mobility, you may want to get something closer to the beach.
