Reception: Polite and assisting but did neglect to provide any wifi info, maps or town information. Advising us about the additional breakfast cost seemed to be the priority. Room / facilities: Room number 307 is on 3rd floor and is very clean. Don’t be fooled by the Self control air conditioning , which has heat or cool controlled centrally. You can only control the fan speed, which really did noting to ventilate the room. There is a door that opens to a thin Juliet style balcony. The room faces the small street and has 2 comfortable single beds, Desk and stool, oversized chair for 1, (which is a space taker in the room), small hanging and shelf area, safe, tea and coffee facilities, shower only bathroom, flat screen tv, full body length mirror. —- The below is not the fault of the hotel, but experienced during our stay. —- If your after a restful sleep whilst in this hotel - FORGET IT - the small seemingly quiet street is far from that. We prefer to sleep with an open window to allow for fresh air from outside to enter the room and experienced the below. On a daily basis, machine street sweepers at 8.00am and garbage trucks around 11.00 pm and another at 1.00am, inconsiderate people walking the streets at 5.30am talking loudly, screaming, whistling and making enough noise to wake the dead, delivery men trucks at 5.22am loading and unloading trollies/carts with the make up of the paving and concrete buildings amplifying the noise. Staff from the Pizza store across the road standing in front of the store at 11.38pm for 35 minutes, talking loud, laughing, and having zero consideration for others. Locals taking rubbish and bottles to the central collection point late in the evening and early morning. Loud small motor bikes parking at the bike park spot at the end of the street, where the hotel is located. The street noise is constant every day and every night. A restful night sleep is NOT to be had at this hotel. Parking: is available offsite at an additional cost Wifi: Complementary and really good speed. There is a weird validation system that wants social login details or a separate email but no password required. We found on departing the room for checkout, they provided a wifi code, which was not explained at checkin. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Great actual hotel, but for me, the street noise aspect was terrible, which made my stay less than enjoyable. Letdowns: Vast amount of street noise from passers by, locals and delivery trucks, council garbage or street sweeper trucks. Location / Nearby: Old town, beach, bus station. All San Sebastian and its offerings. Recommendations: If you want a restful sleep, this hotel wont be for you. Getting to hotel: If arriving by car, best use GPS or is an easy 5 min walk from the San Sebastian bus station. Use GPS to assist the directions.
