The hotel is not on the beach, just a few hundred meters away from Shell Bay, but it has to go uphill. There are no restaurants nearby. There are bicycles at the door for riding. The rooms are okay. One of our rooms had a peculiar smell, but the others did not.

Excellent hotel. Excellent service and excellent breakfast. A great option in San Sebastián, a short walk from La Concha beach or the Miramar Palace.

The surrounding environment is very quiet, the hotel is very large, it should have just been renovated. The rooms are quite spacious, the facilities are very new, the beds are big and very comfortable. Toiletries are very complete, the front desk attitude is very good and patient. There is an extra charge for parking. Overall good.

Great stay at Barcelo Costa Vasca. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, good wifi, fast and effective taxi calling service, which is key in San Sebastián , since there are no Ubers (only taxi, bus, or walking). Definitely recommend this hotel.
