Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa

We have been going to the Tamaya for the last 19 years and love it. It is such a special place and everything is wonderful; food, spa, pools, staff. Our favorite getaway for sure!

Well recognized in respecting the Native/Tribal culture. Spiritually sound-sustainable vegetation. Clean rooms. Lightly Scented shampoo conditioner and body wash pump bottles attached to shower area wall.

We always enjoy our stay at the Tamaya. We try to come every summer. It is such a peaceful location with beautiful views. We love the pools and our kids love the water slide. Our room was very clean and spacious. We will be back!

The first time I was here, I had taken a solo trip. My soul needed some healing and this resort and it’s surrounding did not disappoint. There is something special about this place. It pays homage to the natives who lived here before us. The Sandia mountains across the Rio Grande River along the resort radiates peace for me. Second time I was here I brought my family to celebrate my mom’s 87th birthday back in 2025 (2 months after my first trip). I booked six rooms and celebrated with my family and we had a fabulous time. My mother loved it! This is my third time here and I’m finally posting a review. I should’ve done it sooner. Every time I visit, it’s better than the time before. I was upgraded to a junior suite which gave me plenty of space and a stunning view view of the mountains. The resort offers a beautiful scenery, native decor, amazing and succulent restaurants, spectacular service, and so much more! The underlying theme and design of the resort pays homage to the natives who lived here before any of us and I absolutely love and respect that! Every time I walk into the lobby entrance, my jaw drops and stare at the most beautiful view of the Sandia mountains through the massive floor to ceiling glass wall. It is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t stand enough good things about this place. I’m coming back in October with some family and I’m counting down the days. Hopefully the weather will be cooler and I will see some fall colors! Special shout out to Ms. Nicole G. at the Tamaya’s front desk, who always takes care of all my reservations. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for my family and me. Room, hotel and grounds were beautiful. The only issue I had was with room service. Everything else was perfect. Would love to come back!

We really didn’t have a great experience here. It’s a full service resort, but there’s no Bellman on duty and the spread is far. The dining experience was sub par for a resort, we have a very bad experience at one of the restaurants causing us to leave. The spa was “ok” but not the level you’d expect with similar prices and offerings. There is a nice view, it’s quiet, and dog friendly.

Very relaxing beautiful resort. We loved the adult pool as we were able to enjoy peace and quiet . Loved the walking trails and visiting rescue horses at the barn

lovely atmosphere and excellent customer service from the staff. there is an excellent 5 mile walking/running trail, the pools are lovely and the Hummingbird tent was a fantastic event venue.

The Tamaya is a hidden gem! Beautiful views and history all wrapped up in the service you expect at a world class resort! High recommend for work or personal travel.
