We decided to take our family to Castaway Bay for our daughter's birthday on 4/26/24-4/27/24. Enioyed watching our daughter play in the pool. But at 4 am I found a bed bug crawling in my bed. We told in the morning with a picture I provided and "they would investigate" but "found no evidence" so a refund wasn't issued. Finding the bed bug has made me not trust the company. Even though I am disabled and cannot do much at amusement parks and entertainment, the Cedar Fair Co used to bring good memories. But now I'm not so sure if we will be attending there buisnesses. I felt like we were not taken seriously and now I've been having severe anxiety about bringing anything home with a 4 year old child. We warned a few people, and we called the BBB and health depar**ent. Please take caution when considering coming here. I worry especially for those who have kids. Our 4 year old even had a rash on her thighs from the pool.

******* paperwork lists check in as 3pm. Upon arrival castaway bay staff informed us 4pm was check in. They said they couldn’t help what ******* told us. We did not receive our keys until after 5pm! I would have thought they would have at least made sure we check in on time. We finally had our room so my children could get changed and enjoy the pool. We thought the struggle was behind us. The next day we were in the waterpark for about an hour when they chased everyone out. They ran out of pool chemicals. They eventually let people back in to about half the park but the majority remained closed. In a two day trip we missed out on about half of our waterpark time because this facility is poorly managed. At check out I explained our terrible experience and asked for the managers email. They wouldn’t give it to me. They took my info and said they would call the following week to book us a complimentary stay. They never reached out. My co-worker that had a similar experience put it best “don’t waste your time go to great wolf lodge”

The water park was nice and perfect for our 2 1/2 year old. Water park was clean and seemed very safe. The hotel room was below average. The comforter on both beds was yellowish and stained. Two of our four bath towels and one wash cloth had dried blood on them. The bathroom ceiling and around the mirror had hair hanging from it likely from a blow dryer. The water park made it worth the $200 plus I paid, but I can see why its half the cost of Great Wolfe Lodge or Kalahari.

Stayed the day after Chris**as and had a great time come back 2 weeks later water freezing experience was not like the last hard to say if we'll stay again
