The cleanliness of the hotel was bad. When we arrived, we saw all the towels were on the floor. We requested to change them but they just thought that we dropped the towels. Moreover, they haven’t closed our door firmly after room service. We just opened the door without any key when we came back. Luckily, we haven’t lost anything.

Pleasant overnight stay. Room was fine as you would expect and hope for. Staff OK. There is a bar and Italian type restaurant there but did not use them. Buffet breakfast in morning was OK. Tea & coffee in room suggest you take your own milk though Fish & chip shop, Indian restaurant and pub round the corner. plus petrol station shop .Plenty of parking Handy for ferry/cruise ships in Dover 15 minute drive.

Overall, we had a good experience at the Holiday Inn Dover. Check in was easy and our rooms were conveniently located and in the expected condition. Our experience was marred on the morning of checkout though, when housekeeping started knocking on (and opening!) doors at 9am, despite check out time being 11am. We told the housekeeping staff we were leaving at 11am, but they still knocked and opened rooms again at 10:30am.

Imagine woke up by a really bad disturbance at 1am for screaming, shouting, running the hallway and bagging doors by a group of kids. Mind you, not just one room doing all of this, it's more than 5 rooms. We called the front desk to inform them. We were with our senior citizen mother who needs rest from a long trip. The person in front desk just said " I got it" then hung up the phone since we were not the only one complained. It continued for the last few minutes. We did not see any hotel staff that can control the kids or any adult in the hallway. My husband and I went to the front office and ask the front desk guy nicely (white, old and bald headed). The front desk guy responded to my husband aggressively " What do you want me to do? Spank them?" That was the rudest response to a front desk officer who doesn't know what customer service. IHG Hotel group should look into this and company standards with their staff member's character. We checked out on time even if we have lacked of sleep from that incident. No apologies from the management.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. The room was comfortable, but the real winner was their Italian Restaurant!! The evening meals were simply superb, and the breakfasts were also very good. The hotel is situated close to Dover Castle and also The White Cliffs of Dover.

Excellent Father's Day meal, great food, drink and lovely staff. So clean, professional and well organised. I would highly recommend as was suitable and inclusive for a wheelchair user. I was absolutely impressed and had an extremely great time.
