Plenty of possitves including comfortable refurbished room in good location with sea views. Breakfast had good options including gluten free and vegan. Staff at breakfast also very accommodating. On the down side there was no fridge in the room. You get given some milk in a flask but it goes off, and you have to keep going to reception for refills. We found the bed a bit hard and the pillows even harder. The bathroom floor tiles were very dirty. The biggest issues was not having hot water over our 4 day stay. After notifying reception the first time we were told a new boiler had been installed and to wait a while. That made no difference at all, an experience repeated on the many times we raised it with staff. We were repeatedly told the issue had been resolved, or to try running the tap for longer, or to wait until latet. On complaining more firmly we were told an engineer would be called and that "something would be done to our bill". This made no difference and no adjustment to our bill was made. I appreciate problems sometimes occur but we were never given an explanation and we never felt we were being taken seriously. Given how much we paid, not being able to shower properly for our whole stay was unacceptable. Sadly we would look at alternatives if we revisit Broadstairs.

Only visited to eat an evening meal And the following day visited the outdoor bar area which overlooks the sea Great staff team, good food and drinks Would go again We stayed close by and decided not to cook but eat out Good range of food and drinks available

overall our stay was ok but our sea view room was small and the en suite was tiny ! breakfast was excellent, service and quality of food/ choice was great. if we go back i think we will have to upgrade because our room was not good enough. the cost of our stay is not value , we were glad to get home , so we could move in a bathroom.

Excellent hotel. Our room was sea view and very comfortable. All amenities were fantastic . Wonderful stay. Great staff especially the host at breakfast 🍳 Can’t fault it. Would definitely recommend. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

A quaint and historic hotel, ideally located right on the promenade above Viking Bay, a very short walk from other beautiful bays, virtually next door to the Dickens Museum and close to restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a fantastic menu of hot breakfasts as well as cold buffet. I would love to stay again for longer as the weather was sadly not so summery on our brief break, but still enjoyed walks and the sea air, and feeling very pampered in this characterful hotel

Room was amazing with great views over the bay ,large balcony to sit out on ,handy for when they have the fireworks. Bed was really comfortable, good shower bath robes supplied. Great location opposite the beach central to shops and restaurants breakfast has a good choice staff friendly and welcoming as always .already booked for next year we stayed in room 11

Lovely building, no elevator, but apart from that just great ! Room overlooking Viking bay was perfect, free soundtrack of the waves gently crashing on beach was an unexpected bonus, perfect.. Staff really helpful, breakfast included in room tariff was very good indeed.

Another enjoyable stay at the Royal Albion - as before the staff were first class - friendly, welcoming and efficient - a big thank you to the receptionist and the breakfast host who always goes the extra mile and takes time to speak with guests. Our room overlooked Viking Bay, comfortable, refurbished with a terrace which has also been updated and is a pleasant place to sit.
