We stayed at Puerta Azul with our two children 10 and 14. The staff was amazing, the concierge service helped us book excursions and arranged transportation with experienced drivers. The food was amazing and we enjoyed all the staff who took the time to get to know us. property is clean and peaceful. The dock with the hammocks became our favorite place to relax for the week. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks on property l. The only downside is that there are no restaurants or shopping within walking distance. However we would still prefer to stay on this property rather than the very busy “tourist” areas that are more walkable.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly. There was a sense of family. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and that our experience on Roatan was unforgettable.

Just returned from our stay at Puerta Azul and it was one to the most relaxing stays we have had anywhere. No cruise ship crowds and no beach vendors hasseling you, just walk down the dock and jump in. Great snorkeling right off the dock. I would mention to anyone considering staying here, there are not any restaurants nearby so you will need to be prepared to taxi or rent a car. However the food onsite is AMAZING, Rose and the other kitchen staff are great. Stop at the grocery store on your way from the airport and stock up on snacks and such. Talia is a great hostess and was super helpful in helping us arrange anything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our room was clean and perfect for the two of us. We will return for sure!

If I could give this place 1,000 stars I would. The staff beyond amazing. Anything I asked for, they were able to assist. I requested birthday decorations for my boyfriend. They personally do not offer. But the owner was able to put me in contact with a vendor that could. Room was decorated beautifully. Had a driver waiting for us when we arrived at the airport. Woke up early to make us breakfast, as we had an early morning excursion. Arranged for us to get massages. Food was mouth watering delicious. I could go on and one. It was peaceful and romantic. I can’t even complain about the rain. Listening to the rain and ocean, while swinging in the hammock, of our very own bungalow, ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! Thank you so much Talia and staff for an amazing vacation! I’ll be sure to be back, when it’s not rainy season :-)

The property has the most beautiful grounds. The location is a gem by the water’s edge. Agusta, the young lady who is running the show making everything seamless, arranging transfers, tours, meals, giving helpful tips, etc, she does it all with her team. I felt welcomed and well taken care of by the staff at Puerta Azul. Excellent services and communication.

Lovely stay with amazing people running it. Talia the owner was super responsive and attentive as was her entire team! Breakfast each morning was a nice surprise of the chef which were all delightful. The warmth of the service team is definitely the highlight. This was the perfect stay as well as we were getting our advance diving certification with Blue Island Divers which is nearby and they can pick you and drop you off right at the dock of the Puerta Azul which offers fantastic dive sites just minutes away!
