La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Salt Lake City Midvale

Air conditioning and mini fridge in room were both quite noisy. I unplugged the fridge to reduce the noise.

It's a very run down area for one. The doors in the suite to separate the king bed from the couch area don't even work, and the sheer curtain is about to fall off the door. The room smells like cigarettes and is no good for a family who have members with asthma. The hallways also smell like wet dogs. It's not a good crowd that wanders the area either. Very ghetto location. The room is also not very clean! The desk chair is gross and same with the pullout bed on the couch. The mattress is absolutely disgusting, and I feel very bad about putting my children on that mattress... also the sink in the bathroom smells like some one pooped in it. The guy at the desk didn't to care much about our needs either, when asked for a blanket for the sofa bed, he said no more and we got what we got what he had! I also lost my wedding ring there, it was on the nightstand i forgot it, but the room had been cleaned and pretty sure someone pocketed it! The manager at the front i the morning seemd ok at first and gave us a credit for our awful night stay, but then when i returned looking for my ring that has gone missing, she wouldn't even make contact with me! Very disgusting hotel! Oh the pool and hot tub is a joke too! First you have to go outside to get to it. The water in the pool was so cold that it wasn't usable and the lighting is so dark after the sun went down that anything could have happened! And so much chlorine that i still smell like it! I really hope i didn't catch any diseases!

Filthy, smelly and noisy, with a lot of sketchy people doing suspicious activity, staff very unprofessional,

The room was nice and very clean, the rest of the establishment was worn, dirty, outdated, and loud. We could hear people walking by our door having a normal conversation but it sounded like they were in our room.

Nice hotel and area

Room was not cleaned, we needed to clean tub before use. Two towels and one facecloth were provided for reservations for 3 people. Only one half roll of toilet paper was provided.

After checking in we got to our room and walked right back out and checked out. There was puke in the hallway leading up to our door, our room was DISGUSTING. Left over hair on the counter & floor of the bathroom, coffee table smeared with something and not clean, dirty linen on both beds, night stand had dried stuff dripping down it unwiped, the doors and walls were so dirty and the whole place hadn’t been vacuumed or swept at all. Never staying at a La Quinta ever again.

It is an average hotel.

The hotel was pretty scary I was a mom with my 2 kids and I was nervous to stay there but I had already booked the room. Lots of people loitering. Scary looking people all around the property. I would never stay there again. Breakfast started at 7 and was picked over by 7:15. I seemed like people were living in the rooms and they got there to grab as much as they could.
