Das Edelweiss - Salzburg Mountain Resort

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und unsere Kinder waren gern im Kids Club (8 und 6 Jahre) Der neue Baby Spa Bereich hat uns auch sehr gefallen. DAS HOTEL ist eine Entspannung und zugleich viel Spaß für die ganze Familie. Der Aufenthalt war wieder toll :)

Outstanding hotel with first-class service! Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we left - from the warm welcome to the excellent cuisine and the first-class wellness offerings. Simply wonderful! We are already looking forward to visiting this magical place more often in the future.

Basically a beautiful house! The inviting entrance area is a success. The staff in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) were very attentive (thanks Nicole). The food was very good. Some of the evening creations were too creative for me. The salad buffet was fantastic. The breakfast buffet had almost everything except margarine. Sometimes the warm things (vegetables, etc.) were not refilled and the names were wrong, but that's not a bad thing. The childcare was excellent!!! Every child (including our toddler) would love to stay in a children's land like this. Thanks to the loving team. The spa area is really luxurious and suitable for everyone! Be it with water slides, sports pool, indoor pool, toddler pool, sauna, etc... The family suite was very nice, even if it is suboptimal to have a glass door in the bathroom. Frosted glass would help. The sliding doors could not close completely either, so you always had a beam of light from the other room. Now the drawback, considering the price. The family suite was only ever equipped for 2 adults (towels, bathrobes, coffee cup, glasses and ordered welcome drink) - even though it was booked for 3 adults and a toddler. I also thought it was a shame that there was no tea available in the room. The arrival was strange. You felt lost and had to look for everything. We arrived at 11:30 a.m., but we had let them know. We didn't know where our luggage belonged, what to do with the ski equipment, etc. The room card didn't work for the ski locker. I had to leave everything in front of it, quickly went to the room and asked at reception. They said that this can happen, but they would put my things away. Unfortunately, this hadn't happened even after 4 hours. Checking out: since we were still skiing and our child was in daycare until 1 p.m., we asked how much it would cost to extend the stay for 2 hours: €175! We didn't do that. It wasn't even possible to extend the ski locker. Basically a beautiful hotel, but the problem is the service. Other 5-star hotels are far ahead in this regard.

We stayed at the Edelweiss for the second time and it was just as phenomenal as the first time! The food was a dream, the rooms and the wellness area were beautiful, you just need to fall over once and you're on the slopes... A picture-perfect ski hotel (but certainly brilliant in summer too...) The service staff deserve a special mention again, the charm and friendliness with which you are served food and drinks is unparalleled!!!! And our highlight this year was the wine tasting with DANI. Incredibly brilliant! We'll be back!!!

As the 5 star rating shows, our stay was excellent. The food was delicious. We came out of the wellness area totally relaxed every day (even though we had children with us). The host family, the service and cleaning staff are very friendly and accommodating. I still hear about the kids club from my children all the time. My facial trea**ent from Melanie was a dream. The only small drawback is if you want to have a wellness day with the children, have breakfast early and go to the pool first thing in the morning. It is extremely hot in the wellness area and you soon get thirsty. The Family Mountain Spa, where you can get something to drink, doesn't open until 12. I went down to the bar but was fobbed off because glasses aren't allowed in the pool area and they didn't have any cups. If there was another option, I wasn't told. Unfortunately, the Spa Bistro also doesn't open until 12 and food orders aren't taken until 12:30. That was a bit of a shame overall because you had to get fully dressed again and go to the restaurant if you just wanted a quick coffee in the morning. Once you knew that, though, you could stock up on water at the nearby supermarket, so that's really only a tiny point that could be improved. I had my exercise mat with me for my workouts, which turned out to be superfluous because there was a great exercise room next to the gym. The children's bathrobes that I had packed were also superfluous because you can get those from the hotel too, which we found very practical. The slide park is also worth a special mention. It's fun for young and old and is, in my opinion, unique. All in all, we had an incredibly great family vacation that we would love to repeat.

Top resort. Super family service. Excellent facilities. Coherent modern design. Family-friendly, but also with clearly defined additional wellness adults-only areas. All in all, exemplary for a hotel in this segment. We will definitely book it again
