Hotel Park

Huge thanks to Lisa, Connor, Paddy and the team. My wife experienced a knee injury whilst staying in St Johann. Lisa advised a hospital visit and organised taxis etc. Nothing too much trouble. The waiting staff at breakfast and dinner exceptional. A painful stay because of knee injury made so much easier by all the staff. Thank You. Rooms very clean and spacious, food good and plentiful. Evening dinners different each night. A friendly family run hotel. Well Done.

My wife and I stayed here for a week on half board. The hotel is in an excellent location for skiing walking and the town centre. Very clean everywhere lovely friendly staff and amazing food. Very nice bar area often looked after by Josef the owner and reasonable prices. Rooms are spacious with recently updated bathrooms. Also has the benefit of a free visitor card, which as well as local discounts gives you free travel on trains and buses. Would Strongly recommend. James

We have just returned from a week skiing holiday staying at this lovely hotel. We loved the position just down the road from the gondola and the ski hire shop next door. The hotel was super clean and very comfortable. We are vegetarians and there was always lovely food prepared for us. The drinks in the bar were a reasonable price and it was a very friendly place to stay after the evening meal. We loved the leisure centre in the town which we used most early evenings with our free pass. We also used the hotel sauna which was great with lovely views. We visited the brewery tower a few times with lovely views and great beer. Loved St Johann and would love to return in the summer too.

After four years this was our second time at hotel park. After covid and the effect it had on hospitality we weren’t sure if we could expect the same level of quality but we had NOTHING to worry about. This hotel is superb, the family and staff work tirelessly to make everything just right and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean. She even came in on Christmas Day and left it all immaculate which I did not expect at all.

Extremely enjoyable August 2022 and 2023 This was our second year in a row to stay at the park hotel. It's the first time that we have returned to the same hotel. That is because the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They do a half board stay which suits us perfectly. You can make a packed lunch as part of that also. There are cold meats, cheeses, water fruit and snack bars left there for you. Plenty of rolls and pastries also. The evening meal is four courses with salads also. You can have wines, beer and water with your meal included. We had a lovely relaxing time and wished we were staying two weeks when it came to leave on Saturday. Thanks to all the lovely staff at the park hotel. If you book a French balcony room there is no balcony to sit out on but a bigger room. So this year we choose a room with a balcony. The free travel card that you get from the hotel is brilliant. There are free guided walks which we enjoyed last year. If you are going on a hike into the hills on any of the guided walks you will be required to have suitable foot wear, walking poles (which you can rent from the tourist office) sun block suitable clothing and snacks and water. Two evenings there was live music in the square and the Queen tribute band was amazing. There was a brass band on the Friday night which was great also. I think these events are on all during the summer season as we were at something similar last year. The photo I added is from the guided walk last year up to the herbal garden in the mountain. Once there you can enjoy fabulous views, homemade lemonade, beer herbal teas and much more.

This hotels location is ideal close to the slopes, ski rental shop & centre of a beautiful town and within walking distance of the fabulous local pool. The restaurant is so cute set for you at the same table for whole duration of your stay.

We stayed as a family of six in late August 2023. Loved our stay. The hotel is what you would expect of a chocolate box Austrian ski lodge in summer. Traditional decor with good size rooms. Very clean with eating areas inside and out. Our package included breakfast and evening meal but you were encouraged to make a packed lunch as well at B’fast time to take out with you. Food was excellent with wide choice buffet style breakfast but included eggs boiled and scrambled, sausages and bacon. Wide range of cereals and breads along with pastries. Evening meals were excellent and during meal you were served beers and wines of choice (included in cost) Rooms were clean and tidy and although the mattresses were very comfy, the beds did squeak a lot. Temperature all week was high 20’s/30 and so the lack of air con was a big issue. Lack of sleep resulted each night not helped by squeaky beds. Bikes available to hire from hotel and close proximity to very stylish local swimming/sports complex (10 min walk) and the mountain lifts (literally next door) meant there was never a dull moment. Scenery and location was breath taking! Why can’t all towns be this clean and graffiti free? All in all a wonderful week. Despite the lack of air con and squeaks it deserves a solid 5.
