Jufa Hotel St Michael im Lungau

I really appreciate staying in the JUFA hotel. Clean rooms, nice people, and excellent breakfasts. Ski areas are close, and free public transportation is available.

When we arrived we didnt know what to expect, but as soon as we made first contact at reception we found that crew is wery helpfull and kind. Room was clean, and warm (outside was -7 )... Breakfast was soprisingly good... We are sorry that se couldnt stay more to explore St.Michael, but we will be back for a sure.

Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Jufa Hotel. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations due to several issues, with the most significant being the unavailability of the sauna. Before booking, I specifically chose your hotel because of its advertised wellness facilities, including the sauna. However, upon arrival, I was informed that I could not use it. No prior notice was given about this, and no clear explanation was provided when I inquired. This was extremely disappointing, as the sauna was one of the main reasons for my choice, and I feel that I did not receive the service I paid for. Additionally, the room I was given did not match the description on your website. It was much smaller than advertised, and some amenities were missing. The furniture appeared worn out, and the overall cleanliness did not meet the standards I expected. Furthermore, I was quite surprised by the attitude of your staff. I found them to be unhelpful and not particularly welcoming. Hospitality is a crucial part of any hotel experience, and I was disappointed to feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. Another issue I encountered was with housekeeping. While the cleaning staff did come in to make the bed, they did not replace the towels, even though they were clearly used and left in a way that indicated they needed changing. This lack of attention to detail added to my dissatisfaction. Overall, my stay at Jufa Hotel was far from what I had anticipated. I believe that if a service is advertised, it should be available, and if a problem arises, guests should be informed in advance. Additionally, proper customer service and housekeeping standards should be maintained at all times. We came for a weekend Friday - Sun, arrived late Fr evening and announced and all good. Saturday morning we had breakfast and as we went on a tour had a water bottle where we wanted to take hot water with us. After taking hot water and coming to the table one staff came at us and in an extremely rude way told us this is not allowed and that we will be punished (the word in German used) and immediately made sure we get a fine on the room. We were quite shocked and didn't even react much as it looked totally weird the situation, like even if it is allowed I would expect some kind of notification first. Afterwards we saw other people fill their water bottle and just go, no problem as they probably were not seen. Funny thing we were considering to maybe have dinner too there, but after seeing the attitude we spared us the stress. On Sun when we checked out we were at the reception indeed we have a fine tea on our room for 5 euros! We explained diplomatically to the lady the situation and said this is extremely embarrassing, in the end she said she needs to see with her boss whom insisted we need to pay 2.5 euros for this! I've never seen such unfriendly attitude and client treatment. And now I know that hot water is a luxury. To add to this the hotel price was pretty high for a "young people hotel" with bad sound isolation (you heard everything from other rooms), very small rooms and where obviously water is a luxury and good mannered staff. I can totally recommend to spare the hassle and not come here, bad price value.

We have spent some days at the Hotel like in the last years. May be this was our fourth trip to here as the Hotel is close to Fanningberg, Mauterndorf and Obertauern’s ski slopes. Simple, clean and silence rooms. Good breakfast and optional dinner is available, if you order it in advance - Big portions, 4 course, delicious foods; recommended option. Biliard, sauna, ski room is available at the hotel. Sport grounds as well. Shopping center, gas station in front of the hotel on the other side. Recommended accomodation like other Jufa hotels everywhere. ( we already were in Schladming, Hochkar, Kaprun as well)
