Lovely friendly hotel. Made to feel very welcome and owners very helpful. Lovely little friendly pub on premises . Rooms were very clean and spacious. The best shower ever. Food also very nice. We had a late lunch in the restaurant and was very nice, thoroughly enjoyed . Will definitely be back

We had high hopes of having a nice lunch with family as the place looked good and had a fairly decent menu, food was decent but tiny portion would suit a 5 year old was still hungry after we left never got what we ordered and by the time it was corrected the rest of the food was finished, 2 of us ordered macaroni and a third person ordered the same we were informed the macaroni was finished, we were the only people in the place and they had just opened so we figured we were eating g the last of the previous nights food, that' explained the tiny portions, lasagne pasta wasn't cooked properly pasta was still hard in places def wouldn't go back nice enough place but that was a total let down and waste of money, now to find a chippy

Booked room No Heating - Toilet Seat Poor Fixture - Toilet roll holder broken - Poor welcome tray - Public toilet urinal damaged- Adverse Weather Proprietor did not provide heating in the dining room. Hot air heater placed in to dining room near our table. Prompted up on blocks of wood.

Can’t praise this hotel enough rooms were excellent food was lovely best breakfast I’ve had .The owners Michael his mum and sister couldn’t make us feel more welcome the wee pub in the place is great and so are the locals thanks to everyone that made our weekend we will definitely be back

Friday night and the lights are low looking out for a place to go! What the hell, lets try the Nithsdale Hotel ! Roaring fire in the bar and good tunes playing in the background, I am already thinking what's not too like? The friendly waitress came over and asked if I would like a drink and handed me a copy of the menu. I had an excellent pint of Tennent's Lager and browsed the extensive bar menu and chose the Lamb chops followed by that old classic Knickerbocker Glory. The meal came quickly and was lovely which I found excellent value for money. I stayed for a couple of hours as the a**osphere and banter in the bar was vey enjoyable. I will most certainly be back!

Nice hotel and a nice big room with a very modern shower which I couldn't work and there was no instructions. Food was ok.

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our allocated room. Service in the restaurant was great, and staff very friendly. They also helped to ensure that we had an early breakfast to allow us to get walking early in the day. We enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel is an extremely good hotel, and I would very highly recommend it for any occasion. The rooms are so clean and have everything you need. Michael and his staff are incredible hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner is exceptional. We have stayed quite a few times and always look forward to returning. Thank you again to Michael and team, you are all amazing.
