The hostel facilities are quite rustic, bordering on old, the location is quite far compared to the center of Barcelona (1 hour by bus) to get to the hotel there are some steep slopes, so if you carry suitcases, you'll need to walk. a taxi. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, de kamers zijn een beetje gedateerd, maar alles was proper. We waren op doorreis en hebben avondeten gegeten in het restaurant, ook daar vriendelijk ontvangen en lekker gegeten. Het ontbijt was ook in orde, met veel keuze en verse ingrediënten.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found it excellent value for money. All the staff were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable, although not luxurious. You have to bear in mind that the hotel is in a historic building and so some parts of it are a bit rough and ready. We were greeted with a lovely welcome and found the set menu in the restaurant for dinner very good value. It's straightforward food presented well, not gourmet cooking, but for under 20 euros for three courses, a great option if you don't want to head out of the hotel. The drinks are also cheap - bottle of great rioja for 15 euros. There is an excellent local bakery in the square of San Boi and the town has very easy links to Barcelona centre using the metro. A zone one travel card for ten trips was only about 12 euros, making it considerably cheaper to stay here and go into Barcelona by public transport. Sadly due to the water shortage when we visited we didn't get to try the swimming pool as it was locked up - nothing the hotel could do about that. The wifi was a little hit and miss in some of the rooms, but was reliable in reception. The fridges in the rooms were a nice touch and the balconies in the rooms were appreciated too. I have seen some negative reviews about the beds and bedding. We didn't notice any issue with these and slept well, although it is fair to comment that the old radiators were a little hit and miss on heating. All in all the hotel is not perfect but we had a very pleasant stay which we felt was excellent value. I would have no issues with returning to the hotel.
