The suite I booked turned out to be just a big bed and a small folding bed, maybe my understanding is different. But the front desk changed me to two big bed rooms, which was not bad. Downstairs is the bar street, which is quite interesting to stroll around.

The hotel is almost 100 years old and it's still great because it's been refurbished and well maintained. The main entrance of the hotel is on the pedestrian street, and along the street are restaurants, bars and shops, which is very convenient. It is only ten minutes walk to the famous Stearn Wharf, and the location is excellent. The only downside is that the room is small. But in downtown, this is already very good 😀

You can't beat this location, and the updated rooms are very comfortable, but since it is a historic buildings it comes with its problems. You will hear toilets flushing and doors opening and closing through the walls. As well as people in the streets outside the bars until 2am. Also the valet put my car in a different lot overnight and it came back with scratches!! I was really disappointed.

This property is positioned perfectly in the heart of Santa Barbara. There are bars and restaurants all around within a 1 minute walk. The ocean is a 15 minute walk. We are really enjoying ourselves.
