The suite I booked turned out to be just a big bed and a small folding bed, maybe my understanding is different. But the front desk changed me to two big bed rooms, which was not bad. Downstairs is the bar street, which is quite interesting to stroll around.

The hotel is almost 100 years old and it's still great because it's been refurbished and well maintained. The main entrance of the hotel is on the pedestrian street, and along the street are restaurants, bars and shops, which is very convenient. It is only ten minutes walk to the famous Stearn Wharf, and the location is excellent. The only downside is that the room is small. But in downtown, this is already very good 😀

Perfect location on State Street. Easy access to the beach and all the retail and restaurants...including the Saturday farmers market.
Elevator is next to useless though. Used the stairs, which wasn't too bad, but we were on fourth floor.
No onsite restaurant, but not an issue as so many other places to eat.
We would stay there again.
