Courtyard Santa Barbara Downtown

It’s under construction!! No swimming pool. Please don’t waste your money!! They should make guest aware that such things are going on

Great location & easy access to downtown. Pleasant staff at the registration and knowledgeable of the places to eat & shops.

First room was over the pool, despite booking city view. Room had a strong chemical odor and then we realised our socks and bags were wet as clearly they’d had to clean something from the carpet. Also zero soundproofing from the pool or bar area. Moved to back room, which was quieter until 5.45am when the garbage trucks arrive. Drapes don’t fit the windows, so the room is lit up by the ***** lighting outside the window all night. Apart from that, the rooms are dark and dingy and the shower doesn’t work well. It’s fine for a one night pit stop en route somewhere, but I wouldn’t recommend for any longer.

I am an event planner for a Santa Barbara based company, where we hold our annual kickoff. This is my second year having our event at The Courtyard SB Downtown and I have to say how much I LOVE working with this hotel! To start, it's an absolutely beautiful property in a great location just steps from downtown SB and it doesn't look ANYTHING like your typical Courtyard property. It looks like it belongs in Palm Springs :) The restaurant / bar is super cute and the menu is delicious! Second, and most importantly, the staff! I've worked with Jacki Dawson the past two years on my event and she is such a pro, however, this was my first time working with Jessica Perez and she is an absolute dream to work with. She is professional, she gets things done quickly and so well organized. Then you have their fabulous front desk and restaurant staff. EVERYONE was so amazing to my attendees and really made our stay so enjoyable. Santa Barbara is not an easy location to plan a corporate event, but this team REALLY made my life easier. We can't wait to be back in 2025!!! :)

Great service and amazing amenities

Had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, and well appointed. I really love the bathrooms, which were SUPER nice, though the shower could have been slightly bigger. Coffee in the lobby wasn't the greatest - it's a "Starbucks machine" and one cup was $4...I should have just ran to an actual Starbucks to grab a cup. Other than that LITTLE thing, this place was awesome, and I will definitely be back!

Our tiny room was well appointed. The HVAC is vintage 1980 and very noisy. No daily service so no refills on in room coffee or paper cups. Paid $350 per night including $30 per night for self parking. Will not return.

Heating fan in room noise was so terrible. Couldn’t sleep well
