Hotel Castillete

Terrible. Las habitaciones están en un estado lamentable, con mucha necesidad de mantenimiento. Muy ruidoso, porque pasa mucho tráfico delante y se oye mucho el ruido de otras habitaciones. No tiene aire acondicionado y hace mucho calor.

Indeed, the assessment is not easy. The first impression is rather poor. The rooms have old furnishings and should in principle be renovated. Apparently some rooms have already been renovated? The same can be written about the bathroom. Large surfaces are an undoubted advantage. Both the room and the bathroom are really big. The rooms have a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator. The rooms with balconies on the promenade side have a great view of the Atlantic and the beach. The very nice ladies from the reception are a big plus. I can not have any objections to the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. The breakfasts are not particularly rich, but you cannot complain too much. The breakfast buffet gives you the opportunity to choose something for yourself and surely no one leaves hungry. The location of the hotel is an undoubted advantage. Situated on the Atlantic seafront promenade, the hotel is within easy reach of many attractions and dining options. Literally a few dozen meters from the hotel, we find the 17th century and nicely renovated Real Castillo de Santa Catalina. It is worth seeing its magnificent walls in the evening when they are illuminated. There is also a large public car park along the promenade. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel. Summing up, it is quite a good place to stay for a reasonable price. Maybe not for a longer vacation, but for a few days for sure.
