Its location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the air conditioner was so noisy, it kept running for the whole night and kept generating unpleasant noise during our sleep. Also, the microwave was not functioning properly, it couldn’t be used after just a few minutes of microwaving food (which we think it failed due to overheating), and we had to wait for more than 10 minutes before it could be used again. We had to move the microwave from the shelf under the TV to another locaton so that it can be cooled down faster.

Very convenient to the boardwalk. Our first room had the tv go out so we were moved to a new room. Room 103 is fairly comfortable and clean but no absolutely insulation between wall with a connecting door. Man next door loudly singing and loud tv.

I booked this hotel because it was an affordable option for our UCSC tour and its proximity to both the campus and the beach. I didn't have expectations, other than a safe hotel and a comfortable, clean room.
This hotel exceeded my expectations with an attentive manager happy to meet any of our needs at any time, a very comfortable room, a good complimentary breakfast, and a quick and easy check in/out. The manager asked me with genuine curiosity upon check out if I could help with constructive feedback about our stay and/or anything to improve. I couldn't think of anything.
This hotel is a little gem - affordable, a perfect location, solid amenities, and a quiet, very clean, comfortable place to stay in Santa Cruz. If my daughter chooses this city for college, I anticipate staying here every time I visit her.
