Ocean Echo Inn & Beach Cottages

I stayed two nights and rented a room with an ocean balcony view. The room was beautiful and the location exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, they scheduled roofers for bright and early Saturday morning so I was woken up by several men o the roof stomping around, drilling, and hammering. They also had a view into the room as well as into the skylight in the bathroom which was over the toilet. It ruined the peace of the morning and the only morning I had to just try to relax. When I spoke to reception, she was very nice about it and said the work was supposed to be done before eSaturday so it wasn't expected. She encouraged me to call the owner and speak to her. The owner was not interested in keeping a customer and was not accommodating. All she would offer is a discount on a future stay, no discount on the over $300/night stay I already paid for where I was unable to use the balcony at all since there were several men all over the roof hammering and using power tools (on a Saturday morning!) Very unhappy with the terrible customer service of the owner.

Cozy, comfy, clean, adorable inn steps from the beach. Great price for off-season, decent continental breakfast (please get better coffee though!) and a perfect little beach cove for surfers and dogs. We had a great time.

Loved our room. Had a great balcony and view of the beach. The inn was clean and within walking distance to shops and even more stunning ocean views. Our room was a little chilly (my husband is never warm enough) but, the staff gave us an extra comforter and that was great. Convenient location to explore both Capitola and Santa Cruz.

We stayed at Ocean Echo Inn & Beach Cottages last week on a family vacation. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, one bathroom suite. It was delightful. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and dark and we had a great time even just hanging out in the room when it rained. The kitchen was great to have for a quick breakfast and it was great to have the yogurt, fruit and toast that the hotel provided. The only improvements I might make to the rooms would be upgrading the TVs a adjusting the shower so the water might get a little hotter. I highly recommend this cottage to families that love to have multiple rooms when on vacation.

The property is very beautiful. During the summer or when the weather is better, it must be nice to sit outside, enjoy a fire and look at stars while listening to the surf.

Great cozy location with easy access to everything you’re looking for in the area. We loved the community deck overlooking the waves and cove and the breakfast was great for a continental. It was very comfortable! Loved having a little kitchen and our room had a jetted tub!

Cool place with good location. Walking distace to food and nice beaches/sunset viewing. Breakfast items good and staff helpful/informative/nice.

Matress was soft with no lumbar support, wifi sucks, says it has beach access and it doesn’t, unfinished room, had a roofing company fixing shingles and it was loud
