SureStay Hotel by Best Western Santa Cruz

As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years in all facets and scales, I can first handedly say I know the trials and tribulations that can come along with all operations. With that being said I need to give extremely high accolades to Ms. Laura Goodoy and the Best Western Surestay. I’m not sure how she does her job as efficiently as she does and still with a smile day in and day out as just watching her do so exhausted me. From the outside it may not look like much, just another “motel” among a plethora of them that is available in Santa Cruz but, don’t be fooled. There is more heart and soul in that establishment then I have seen at any other that I have stayed at. I highly recommend staying here, especially if it is outside of your normal choice and comfort zone as rest assured, you will most likely be pleasantly surprised. The most likeable thing about Ms. Goodoy and the Best Western Surestay is the authenticity of spirit and by that I mean there is no fluff and fake, Ms. Goodoy and the establishment itself treat you as an equal, with no need for brown nosing or the extra noise that isn’t necessary in an already loud world. Here you get everything you need and are treated no better or worse than anyone else – everyone here is equal as we need more of that in the world. Thank you and keep up the good work.

A lot of noise and random people walking around. Was woken up a few times by knocks on the door. Door didnt close properly with big gap under. Was loud downstairs but the person up front was nice and helpful.

Fresh coffee every morning with doughnuts for breakfast. Appreciative of the hotel manager Laura, who was very nice and helpful with getting checked in and making sure I had everything I needed. It made for such a pleasant stay. Will return next time I'm in the area.

Wonderful stay as always! Rooms were clean. free breakfast. Stress fee. For the rate I can say this hotel is a much better stay than other hotels of comparable price range in Santa Cruz. Laura is very proffessional and accomodating. We will be returning again!

It was great and last minute(my mistake) but very accommodating.I felt at home, staff was great and attentive. I have stayed a few times since and will always come back here when I’m in the area. The rooms were clean and a very quiet stay. The waffles are my favorite breakfast option hands down.

Staff was very nice and helpful

This hotel is fantastic. It's my second time staying here and won't be my last. The person at the front desk has been genuine, helpful and responsive to any needs. Even the housekeepers took it upon themselves to resolve the issue I had with my room key seemingly not working (it was my mistake), their helpfulness stood out from many hotels I have stayed at in my life. The room is very clean, with no weird smells. It's quiet. It's peaceful. It's affordable. What more could I want... I'll be back again. Thank you!
