Very friendly staff all around and most can speak a little English so language has not been a problem. Room is nice and big with big comfy bed. However I did find the walls/doors not very sound proof. If you had a very loud talking neighbor, you can hear the conversation clearly. I find the food and drinks just fine unlike some of the reviews. Typical all inclusive food fanfare. Remeber, this is not Michelin or 5 star resort, so adjust expectation accordingly. There are nightly shows at the sister hotel 6 mins walk away. Again adjust expectations accordingly and you'll have a good time

We had to leave a day early because Hurricane Eric was going to hit, and we had no support from the hotel. On the contrary, we requested a cancellation of the last night so we could leave for safety reasons, but they refused, putting our safety at risk since the rooms filled with water and there was a lot of damage. In these dangerous cases, the hotel does not support you with cancellations and puts you at risk. Regarding the stay, it is uncomfortable because it is full of people who are not staying there, the food is not good, nor does it have variety, it was always the same and the quality was poor. For a smaller difference, larger chain hotels are more convenient, especially in extreme cases like a hurricane, they offer solutions. To which the Hotel Niru refused to cancel the last night, the night of the hurricane!

PLEASE READ! Like everyone else, we read all the reviews and were pretty stoked to go here based on those reviews. I'd say the reviews we read are a fair bit different than the experience we had. CHECK-IN On arrival, it was apparent that the resort was quite busy. The check-in guy pulled out a piece of paper, highlighted a bunch of things with minimal explanation and then guided us to our room. No map. It was quite rushed, not exactly ideal, but just busy. We were ushered to our room with no real direction or information. ROOM When we arrived at our room, we realized we had made our first mistake. That being, booking the 'standard' room. This one is on us. The room itself was nice....roomy, well equipped, but not a good location. There was no deck and no view. We literally had a view of a cement wall and our deck doors opened to the pathway behind the building. All of the 'standard' rooms share the same properties. I'm assuming that since the resort was so busy, that was the reason why it was so noisy at night. The resort had loud music playing literally right outside our room. Not sure when they would normally turn it off, but it was still on and loud at 10:30PM. I called and they shut it off right away. We also heard the workers arriving at 7am in the morning. I'm pretty sure their access road was the road that entered on the back side of the 'standard' rooms. We asked about upgrades, but because it was so busy, we weren't able to upgrade for 4 nights. When we finally did, we were upgraded to a junior suite for the paltry sum of $1400CAN for 6 nights. The junior suite was amazing, great views and amenities, but holy sh!t, it was pricey. FOOD The food was not amazing. Not good, not bad. Just.....there. Fairly repetitive and some dishes that should have been warmer or even hot, were not. Lunch was decent, typical burgers, fries, onion rings. Decent buffet. I will give a shout out to the fish. They had garlic fish, butter fish and a spicy fish. They nailed these. Cooked to perfection, no bones and amazing flavour. Coffee was atrocious. We've been to many, many resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and loved the coffee at those resorts. However, the coffee here was by far the worst. Literally, the coffee in the room was better than anywhere else on the resort. If I had a comparison, I'd say Folgers. Bleh. That being said, food was plentiful, but we did have to wait a couple of times for the breakfast buffet to be replenished. The dinner menu was good and I have to say, I was impressed by the options and the quality. I had the steak many times and it was quite good. Cooked to perfection and tender. My wife had chicken and salmon which she said was also very good. Buffet? So-so. SERVICE/SERVERS/STAFF When we read the reviews, so many people mentioned the staff and how amazing everyone was. For me, the staff here were no different than any other staff we've encountered throughout Mexico. We had some good, some not so good and some th

Just returned from 11 days at the resort and it could not have been much better. The staff were all fantastic! We had a great time durning the day with Francisco and Jose at the upper bar/restaurant and the evening staff with Ixtel and Eric were always there to make sure we were looked after!! Chester from the kitchen made sure we were always fed :) The housekeeping staff were amazing, our room was spotless every day and the bar fridge and water were refilled. The folded towel animals on the bed with the chocolates were a great added touch. The pool was spotless as was the entire pools area and everywhere on the property was immaculate. Some areas were more rustic than others but all were very clean and in great shape!! This is a smaller boutique type all inclusive resort. If you are looking for something a little more quiet but still having all the amenities, this is the spot for you. Most of the rooms are ocean facing, and there is enough variety in room choices to meet most everyone’s needs. This is definitely a spot we will be returning to!!

Great hotel, quiet ambiance, wonderful beach. Rooms were very nice and well laid out. The adjacent town has many restaurants with very good prices. Two pools to choose from with a bar at each pool. If the beach is your scene then you are in luck. Nice bay type beach with very calm waters and a bar lots of umbrellas to sit under. But what makes the niru all inclusive is it's staff, The concierge Diana is extremely attentive and makes you feel as a family friend. Looking for ways to make your experience a better one; from suggesting activities to letting you know about restaurants and some hotel services to offering what the average price for goods. Also the support staff bartenders foodservices Were awesome, Miguel, Francisco, Jose Manuel were great greeting you with a smile. And providing awesome services.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Niru Hotel for a week and had a Junior Suite with Ocean view. What a wonderful little gem – the Suite was delightful, with a small kitchen, a very comfy bed and a view to die for! The suites are large, very comfortable and squeaky clean – and, as a person with sleep issues, I slept like a baby the entire time! ( do tell us which kind of mattress you use please). We were on the top floor with just the skies above and endless views! The in-room coffee machines produce excellent coffee so you can sit on your deck to watch the sunrise with your caffeine in hand. First off, this hotel has the most wonderful staff! Thank you to Andy, Amado and Ulyses for the warm welcome, your guidance and smiling faces every day! Thank you Diana and Jessica for your kind help and assisting when I was feeling unwell. Thank you to Jose Manuel and Francisco for the many laughs during breakfast, you made every morning something to look forward to! (just need to get that espresso machine fixed which was down while we were visiting 😉). Ana, Istel, Magdalena took care of us for the dinners and made us many lovely cocktails in the evenings and cared for us well. The staff, throughout, with one minor exception, was friendly, courteous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel has a great location at Santa Cruz beach and is closed to all the places you might want to visit. The main town, La Crucecita, is just a short cab or bus ride away. Location wise, it is hard to beat and it is a very new and modern hotel with beautiful touches of local artwork and less than 30 rooms. You have access to a beach club, that shares its space with a sister hotel nearby, a small beach area and a restaurant (Binisa) which is only for hotel guests which is nice and cozy. We found the breakfasts to be great – a mix of egg dishes, local fare and healthy items such as yoghurts, fruits and nuts and seeds. Lunches can be had either at the small Binisa restaurant (a la carte) or the Beach Club (buffet). We found the buffet to be hit and miss food quality wise but the restaurant was great with different options. Dinners had a list of a la carte items – we found the salmon, grilled chicken and mahi mahi to be the best. The steak and tuna were overcooked unfortunately. But you cannot go wrong with the 3 choices mentioned with a variety of sides. The food and drink quality can vary a bit – I wish juices could be fresh rather than sugary and diluted but overall, the meals are good and plentiful. If it was an option, we would opt for a breakfast only stay and have the option to eat our dinners outside for more variety. There are a few things that could be improved: I would recommend adding additional hooks on the walls near the entrance door in the rooms – there is little space to hang something and most folks come with warmer clothes and might want to hang something up. Also, more space around the wash basin would be helpful – we were 2 women tra

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Niru ocean suites hotel. Second trip to huatulco, stayed at las Brisas in 2018 and loved that hotel but it is absolutely huge and a long ways from town. The Niru is much smaller, only 28 rooms, and is right on the main beach of santa cruz and walking distance to Crucecita. We had a junior suite with an amazing view of the bay. Room was spacious and absolutely pristine. comfy king sized bed, air conditioning worked great. nice balconey to enjoy the view but one of my only complaints would be the uncomfotable chairs. We love to sit out in the evenings and read while enjoying an adult beverage. Would be nice to have some sort of lounger or reclining chairs, they were hard, no cushions and fully upright. My back is still sore from spending too much time in them. Unfortunately the beach club closed around 5 pm and you could not acess the beach without leaving the hotel and going through the neighbouring property. We would have liked to stay down on the beach a little later but theypack up the loungers and close the gate to get back to the hotel The rest of the property is very nice, loungers around a nice infinity pool and on the beach. Another small complaint would be that the loungers around the pool quickly filled up with people from the Binniguenda Hotel as this is the site of their beach club. They would be lined up at the gate to get into the pool area 15 minutes before it opened at 10am. If we arrived down there after 10 it was impossibel to get a lounger. They also sell day passes to anyone else, who then take up more loungers. We circumvented this by exiting through the lobby and around to the beach where we could at least get a spot before the gates were opened. It would be nice if some of the loungers could be reserved for actual guests of the Niru as we paid a premium price to stay there. To be fair, there is another pool upstairs that is only for guests of the Niru, but it was not as warm, and was in the shade quite early in the afternoon. Of course, like seemingly all resorts, some guests were placing there towels and stuff on the loungers and then dissapearing for hours. The food and beverages were better than we have evr experienced at an all inclusive. 3 bars including one at the beach. Great mango daiquris and Dos Equis on tap. We had breakfast every morning at he restaurant upstairsaround the pool. Ala carte eggs and such plus buffet selections. Francisco and Jose Manuel were awesome, two guys who appeared to love their jobs. Lunch was either by the beach club pool, a few made to order items sach as burger, hot dog and wings plus buffet items. Slightly upgraded items available upstairs, all ala carte, including quacamole and what seemed like a better burge and fries. I thought it was kind of weird that at the beach club, an order of wings was only 3 wings, at the upstairs restaurant it was 5 wings. Who eats only 3 wings? Also you had to be dry and wear a shirt at the beach club snack bar but upst

We had a wonderful stay at Nirú Ocean Suites. The beachfront location is excellent, and getting around the area was easy and stress-free. Our room was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, and we really appreciated that our request for an upper floor was granted. The staff were outstanding—friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. All of our questions were answered quickly and with a positive attitude. A special thank you to Amano and Jessica for going above and beyond one evening. Meals at the main restaurant were consistently excellent, with a good variety of main courses and buffet side options. The beach was a highlight: beautiful, never overcrowded, and easily accessible from the property—perfect for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the ocean views. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly return.
